Damn! Tough one for Chief to mess with an honourable detective. Unfortunately for him, money can't buy everything especially his freedom. This is a beautiful story and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. It was impeccably written.
However check the paragraph where Chief Kunle appeared in court with a smile. You used her for him.

That's the mistake that many do. They assume that everything has its price tag. Unfortunately, we still have the people that are incorruptible. This set of people gives hope to system.
