Lo primero que hice cuando llegué a la Argentina fue a hacer un curso de peluquería. Eso me permitió ganarme los primeros pesos y subsistir mientras tanto. En otras publicaciones ya lo comenté y agradezco infinitamente al señor que me dio cobijo en su casa y la posibilidad de aprender un oficio. Hoy en día me dedico a otra cosa, pero cuando uno aprende una habilidad, no se olvida nunca. Perdemos un poquito de práctica tal vez, pero lo básico lo sabemos. En mi casa somos cinco personas, de las cuales tres son varones y siempre me están pidiendo que les corte el pelo. Pero hoy en día los cortes casi no se hacen con tijeras y se utiliza estas máquinas eléctricas, que en esta ocasión les voy a contar mi opinión sobre la misma.
! [English] The first thing I did when I arrived in Argentina was take a hairdressing course. That allowed me to earn my first pesos and get by in the meantime. I've mentioned it in other posts, and I'm eternally grateful to the man who took me in and gave me the opportunity to learn a trade. These days I do something else, but once you learn a skill, you never forget it. You might lose a little practice, but you know the basics. There are five of us at home, three of whom are men, and they're always asking me to cut their hair. But these days, haircuts are hardly ever done with scissors; they use these electric clippers, and I'm going to share my opinion about them today.
Hoy en Argentina existen muchos productos de China a precios relativamente económicos. Esta máquina me salió alrededor de $20 dólares. Prácticamente nada, teniendo en cuenta lo que sale una canasta familiar. Sin dudarlo y más allá de que me dure o no, tomé la decisión de comprarlo. Los chicos muy contentos por la adquisición y a todos ya le he cortado el pelo. En próximas publicaciones mostraré algunos cortes que realizo, siempre que mis niños me lo permiten. Porque hoy en día hay que pedirle permiso a ellos para compartir las imágenes y me parece muy bien.
! [English] Today in Argentina, there are many products from China at relatively low prices. This machine cost me around $20. Practically nothing, considering the cost of a basic food basket. Without hesitation, and regardless of whether it will last or not, I decided to buy it. The kids are very happy with the purchase, and I've already cut all their hair. In future posts, I'll show some of the haircuts I give, whenever my children allow me. Because these days you have to ask their permission to share pictures, and I think that's perfectly fine.
La marca es Seis. Viene con unos manuales de instrucción, con letras verdaderamente pequeñitas. Su etiqueta respectiva con respecto a la atención que debemos tener por ser un producto eléctrico y la ficha de dos patas apropiada para los enchufes que se usan en Argentina. Distintos tamaños de cortes, acompañado de un peine y también de accesorios para limpiar la máquina. La máquina tiene unos botones en la parte superior que son simplemente decorativos. No cumple ninguna función y eso me desilusiona un poco. Tiene una ficha lateral de prendido y apagado y palanquita que se utiliza para regular la altura del corte. Créanme que tenía miedo de que este aparatito explotara en mi mano. Lo vi tan sencillo y hasta estuve a punto de arrepentirme.
! [English] The brand is Seis. It comes with instruction manuals, with really tiny print. It also has a label regarding the care required for electrical products and a two-prong plug suitable for Argentine outlets. It includes different cutting lengths, a comb, and cleaning accessories. The machine has some buttons on top that are purely decorative. They don't serve any function, which is a bit disappointing. It has a side power switch and a lever for adjusting the cutting height. Believe me, I was afraid this little gadget would explode in my hand. It looked so simple, and I almost changed my mind about buying it.

Realicé tres cortes y con eso superé el pago de la máquina. Es una máquina como para empezar y tienes que ser consciente de que en cualquier momento deja de funcionar. Conozco otras máquinas que tienen un peso acorde y ésta sinceramente parecía de juguete. Al ser nuevo el filo de la cuchilla respondía, pero tampoco como para aplaudirlo de pie. Seguramente me va a permitir seguir haciendo algunos cortes y luego veremos cómo se comporta verdaderamente cuando tenga que afilar la cuchilla. No es un producto que te recomendaría y si estás empezando a realizar cortes, te recomiendo buscar máquinas un poco más profesionales. Estas te pueden causar un trauma y decidir no seguir realizando cortes o estudiando. Yo no me dedico a la peluquería y lo hago simplemente para ahorrar dinero y ayudar a mis hijos y esposo a cortar su cabello.
Si tengo que ponerle una puntuación, le pondría un 6. Es una máquina básica, pero que te puede sacar de algunos apuros.
Esta máquina lo compré en un almacén de mi barrio y no encontré ningún tutorial sobre estas máquinas.

! [English] I did three haircuts, and that covered the cost of the machine. It's a machine meant for beginners, and you have to be aware that it could stop working at any moment. I know other machines that have a reasonable weight, and this one honestly felt like a toy. Since it was new, the blade was sharp, but nothing to write home about. It will probably allow me to do a few more haircuts, and then we'll see how it really performs when I have to sharpen the blade. It's not a product I would recommend, and if you're just starting out with haircuts, I recommend looking for more professional machines. These can be traumatic, and you might decide to quit cutting hair or even study. I'm not a professional hairdresser; I do it simply to save money and help my children and husband cut their hair.
If I had to give it a rating, I'd give it a 6. It's a basic machine, but it can get you out of a pinch.
I bought this machine at a store in my neighborhood, and I couldn't find any tutorials about these machines.

Una excelente adquisición, llegado el momento de sustituirla, valdrá invertir un poco más, pero eso ya lo verás cuando llegue el momento. Recuerdo ir al barbero desde niño cada mes o mes y medio y en aquella época había unas máquinas parecidas, pero manuales. Hace unos años dejé de ir a la barbería y un vecino me cortaba el pelo en casa, luego un barbero aficionado y finalmente compramos una máquina parecida, que con el tiempo comenzó a fallar. Hoy tengo una un poco más pequeña que me sirve para recortar la barba y con paciencia el cabello. Es de batería y se carga como un teléfono, ya tiene 2 años marchando bien y creo que costo 5 dólares, el yerno tenía una igual, pero la sustituyo por otra que de costo algo mayor, claro que él tiene más pelo.
Aunque los barberos tienen derecho a comer, nosotros también a ahorrar. Éxitos.
Siempre que podamos ahorrar un poquito lo hago. Aprovecho ahora que los niños se dejan contar conmigo. Aunque el niño mayor también 😆.
