Porque creo que Disney tiene objetivos ocultos | Because I think Disney has hidden agendas

No suelo hablar sobre esto, y no escribo últimamente sobre mi opinión de ciertas películas. En parte porque prefiero ver anime, las producciones están muy bien hechas, y son bastante agradables.
Pero, ¿qué rayos está pasando con Disney?
No me afecta que sea una mujer morena o de color la que represente la película. Ya lo han hecho antes, creo que continuarán haciéndolo. No me interesa mucho porque ya no consumo sus producciones.
Tampoco me afecta porque soy una mujer morena, me encantaría hacer un papel de los clásicos que veía de niña (claro está, si fuese actriz). Así que no me parece mal.
Entonces, ¿con qué estoy en desacuerdo?
Con todo lo que hacen de forma "inocente". Sus últimas producciones han generado polémica, sin contar que las personas han sacado de su interior lo peor de sí mismas. El racismo es evidente, cada post sobre la película solo menciona racismo de una manera bastante clara.
No voy a negar que al principio, cuando se empezaron a cambiar los clásicos, no me gustó. Vi esas películas de niña, y es un poco raro para mí. Después, solo lo terminé aceptando porque pensé: Zul, tú eres una mujer morena, ¿te gustaría hacer alguna de esas películas?
Mi respuesta fue: SI.
Así que solo pensé, en que el sueño de estas chicas también pudo haber sido el mismo que el mío de niña. Estos pensamientos hicieron que viera las producciones de otra manera.
Pero, en este momento, evito leer post sobre ello, evito leer siquiera los comentarios porque veo cómo las personas se refieren a ello de forma despectiva.
El racismo siempre ha estado presente, solo hace falta algo para que hablen de ello. Cualquier escusa.
También es una nube de humo que dice: No es nuestra culpa.
Ahora, pensemos más allá...
Cada producción a lo largo de la historia cuenta algo, busca algo.
Podemos ver cómo un cómic empoderó a muchos, cómo apoyaron determinadas luchas sociales.
¿Y Disney? ¿Qué está haciendo actualmente?
Se crean películas que buscan romper el patrón. Haciendo claro el mensaje de: A los personajes no los define su color de piel.
Con lo que estoy de acuerdo totalmente. Sin embargo, al ver la cuenta de Instagram de Rachel Zegler, veo a una mujer hermosa, donde su cabello, maquillaje, y estilo sacan lo mejor de ella. Incluso sin todo esto, es hermosa.
Cuando veo la película, siento que busca ridiculizarla.
Cada mujer sabe con qué atuendo se siente bien, con qué atuendo luce fabulosa. Lo que hace que no evite preguntarme: ¿cómo se sentía Zegler? ¿Cómo se siente ahora al ver las redes?
¿Realmente Disney está buscando romper las barreras que hay en la sociedad? ¿O, hace que cada día sea más evidente?
¿Por qué no usar personas pequeñas reales?
Hay muchas preguntas, pocas respuestas.
Lo único es lo resaltante para mí, y es que Disney pudo hacer más, pudo hacer que esta Blancanieves fuera amada por el público, pudo haber mostrado la verdadera inclusión.
Disney tiene el presupuesto para hacerlo, las herramientas, las personas que pueden hacerlo posible.
Las consecuencias de ello no son solo las que vemos en redes, sino también una pérdida millonaria, debido a que esta película tan solo en el territorio estadounidense no ha recuperado la inversión en ella.
Quizás puede que me equivoque; aun así, este conglomerado nos ha llevado a soñar, ha transformado historias de la manera más mágica posible. Es difícil creer que no pudieron hacer lo mismo con esta película.
Quizás en la prisa por mejorar su imagen cometen errores que cuestan millones, y dividen a la sociedad.
No podemos culpar a otros de lo que está mal
No está mal que una mujer que no sea blanca represente este papel; lo que está mal es burlarse de una mujer solo porque no cumple con tus expectativas.
Y esto no solo se resume en una película, una actriz que una buena parte de la sociedad quizás nunca la conozca en persona. Esto abarca la vida real, la forma en la que nos relacionamos.
Internet es una ventana abierta. Todos tenemos una opinión. Incluso yo, y hoy en este post la estoy dando. Todos con acceso a Internet podemos escribir cualquier cosa.
¿Es importante? ¿Es positiva?
Si es para juzgar el cuerpo de otros, su color de piel, la forma de su rostro, o algo por estilo, es mejor guardar esta opinión. Aniquilarla de nuestro cerebro, de ser posible, que lo es.
Y este es un tema que me tomo en serio. Soy humana como todos, he hecho eso alguna vez, no te diré que nunca juzgue a nadie, porque te mentiría. Sin embargo, con el tiempo se aprende mucho.
Empiezas a tener más empatía, lo que también se traduce en la razón, y lógica.
Aunque a veces pecamos de imprudentes (y me voy a incluir), es bueno pensar detenidamente sobre algunas opiniones.
Lo que decimos a nuestros hijos, nuestros hermanos, nuestros padres, nuestros amigos.
Las palabras quedan marcadas en las personas. Si dices algo positivo, esa persona te recordará por ello. Si dices algo negativo, esa persona te recordará por ello.
Es la experiencia lo que marca la diferencia. Cómo hacemos sentir a los demás.
También es el motivo por el que en ocasiones personas se alejan de nosotros.
En mi vida me he alejado de algunas personas por sus opiniones y cómo me hacen sentir. Esa amiga que te desmotiva cuando empiezas un proyecto, esa persona que critica tu cabello, esa que te rechaza por tu color de piel...
Puede que esto no sea importante para algunos; sin embargo, de la misma forma en la que tratamos a los demás, somos tratados.
Lo que haces alguna vez vuelve a ti, no por karma, o casualidad, sino por ser la consecuencia de tus acciones.
Así que esto no es solo sobre una artista, sino en cómo nos estamos comportando como seres humanos. El cómo cada día, sin importar los nuevos movimientos y cosas que se inventen, las personas son menos empáticas que sus antepasados.
¿Qué mundo estamos construyendo? ¿En qué mundo queremos que nuestros hijos vivan? ¿Qué somos?
I don't usually talk about this, and I haven't written about my opinion of certain movies lately. Partly because I prefer watching anime; the productions are very well done and quite enjoyable.
But what the heck is going on with Disney?
It doesn't bother me that a brown woman or a woman of color is starring in the film. They've done it before; I think they'll continue to do so. I'm not really interested because I don't watch their productions anymore.
It also doesn't bother me because I'm a brown woman; I'd love to play a role from the classics I watched as a child (if I were an actress, of course). So I don't think it's bad.
So, what do I disagree with?
With everything they do so "innocently." Their latest productions have generated controversy, not to mention that people have brought out the worst in themselves. The racism is evident; every post about the film mentions racism quite clearly.
I won't deny that at first, when they started changing the classics, I didn't like it. I saw those movies as a child, and it's a little strange to me. Afterward, I only ended up accepting it because I thought: Zul, you're a brown woman, would you like to make one of those movies?
My answer was: YES.
So I just thought that these girls' dreams could have been the same as mine as a child. These thoughts made me see the productions differently.
But, right now, I avoid reading posts about it, I avoid even reading the comments because I see how people refer to it in a derogatory way.
Racism has always been present; it just takes something to make them talk about it. Any excuse.
It's also a cloud of smoke that says: It's not our fault.
Now, let's think further...
Every production throughout history tells something, seeks something.
We can see how a comic book empowered many, how they supported certain social struggles.
And Disney? What is it doing now?
Films are created that seek to break the pattern. Making the message clear: Characters are not defined by their skin color.
Which I completely agree with. However, when I look at Rachel Zegler's Instagram account, I see a beautiful woman, where her hair, makeup, and style bring out the best in her. Even without all of this, she is beautiful.
When I watch the film, I feel like it's trying to ridicule her.
Every woman knows what outfit she feels good in, what outfit she looks fabulous in. Which makes me wonder: how did Zegler feel? How does she feel now when she looks at social media?
Is Disney really seeking to break down the barriers that exist in society? Or is it making it more obvious every day?
Why not use real little people?
There are many questions, few answers.
The only thing that stands out for me is that Disney could have done more; it could have made this Snow White beloved by the public; it could have shown true inclusivity.
Disney has the budget to do it, the tools, and the people to make it happen.
The consequences of this are not only what we see on social media, but also a loss of millions, as this film has not recouped its investment in the United States alone.
Perhaps I'm wrong; even so, this conglomerate has inspired us to dream, transformed stories in the most magical way possible. It's hard to believe they couldn't do the same with this film.
Perhaps in their rush to improve their image, they are making mistakes that cost millions and divide society.
We can't blame others for what's wrong
It's not wrong for a non-white woman to play this role; what is wrong is making fun of a woman just because she doesn't meet your expectations.
And this isn't just about a movie, about an actress a good portion of society may never meet in person. This encompasses real life, the way we relate to each other.
The internet is an open window. We all have an opinion. Even me, and today in this post I'm giving it. Anyone with internet access can write anything.
Is it important? Is it positive?
If it's about judging someone else's body, their skin color, the shape of their face, or something like that, it's better to keep this opinion to yourself. Eradicate it from our brains, if possible, which it is.
And this is a topic I take seriously. I'm human like everyone else; I've done that at some point. I won't tell you that I never judge anyone, because that would be a lie. However, you learn a lot over time.
You begin to have more empathy, which also translates into reason and logic.
Although we sometimes err on the side of imprudence (and I'm including myself), it's good to think carefully about certain opinions.
What we say to our children, our siblings, our parents, our friends.
Words leave a mark on people. If you say something positive, that person will remember you for it. If you say something negative, that person will remember you for it.
It's the experience that makes the difference. How we make others feel.
It's also the reason why people sometimes distance themselves from us.
In my life, I've distanced myself from some people because of their opinions and how they make me feel. That friend who discourages you when you start a project, that person who criticizes your hair, that person who rejects you because of your skin color...
This may not be important to some; however, the same way we treat others, we are treated.
What you do eventually comes back to you, not because of karma or chance, but because it's the consequence of your actions.
So this isn't just about an artist, but about how we behave as human beings. How every day, regardless of the new movements and things that are invented, people are less empathetic than their ancestors.
What world are we building? What world do we want our children to live in? What are we?

Excelente reflexión y tienes razón, las personas con el internet se sienten con el derecho de decirlo que les pasa por la mente sin ningún tipo de filtro. Sin importar si hieren los sentimientos de otros. No he visto la película pero si me parece que la hicieron ver fea y recuerdo haberla visto en Shazam como una diosa y se ve muy bien. No había pensando en eso sí Disney lo hace a propósito, con alguna intención oculta pero ellos tienen los medios para haber hecho una mejor película. Mi favorita sigue siendo la bella y la bestia.
Disney tiene varias producciones muy buenas que cautivan. Pero, no me gusto lo que sucedió con ella. También la vi actuar en la última película de los Juegos del Hambre. Había leído el libro, el personaje original era una chica peliroja, pero, es normal que a veces hagan adaptaciones.
Me gusto su personaje, fue bastante bueno. También hicieron destacar al personaje que representaba.
