Desde mi perspectiva, la inteligencia artificial (IA) es como un pincel mágico en manos de un pintor invisible, y creo que saben a qué me refiero con esto.

Un gran saludo para todos los usuarios de esta hermosa comunidad de #GeekZone, tenía mucho tiempo sin pasar por acá, pero hoy es un momento especial para hacerlo, o al menos es especial para mí, pues mientras daba un vistazo a mis publicaciones anteriores vi una que me dio grandes recuerdos, les hablo de un post escrito hace aproximadamente 2 años, y el tema era sobre la creación de imágenes con IA, pero todo para ese momento era tan básico e inexplorado que es interesante ver el resultado de antes y compararlo con el de hoy en día.

Hace apenas unos años, la posibilidad de que una máquina, página o programa interpretara nuestras palabras para crear imágenes era un sueño distante. Hoy, esa fantasía es una parte vibrante de nuestra realidad, y es algo muy común para todos, todos lo usamos, incluso nuestras tías mayores han creado imágenes con sus nombres propios usando la IA, si saben a qué me refiero, hace un tiempo estuvo muy popular las imágenes en Facebook con un estilo personalizado, pues algunas páginas ofrecían el servicio de crear imágenes con tu nombre, y recuerdo que muchas personas lo usaron aun siendo personas mayores y algo inexpertas en el tema.

Recuerdo cuando la IA comenzó a dar sus primeros pasos en el arte de la creación de imágenes. Era un campo prometedor, pero aún inexperto, donde cada avance parecía un pequeño milagro, y de verdad que era algo que demoraba mucho tiempo, y esta es la idea del artículo de hoy, pues como les mencione al inicio, hace un par de años publique un artículo en esta misma comunidad donde hable del tema, recuerdo muy bien que era la primera y única forma pública, pero un poco oculta, de crear imágenes con IA.

Los resultados otorgados por dicho servicio para ese entonces era algo muy simple, extraño e incluso abstracto, acá te dejo las imágenes que antes esta IA podía generar, era un intento interesante para ese momento, pero viéndolo hoy, son imágenes muy aleatorias que de verdad no se comparan con el resultado de hoy en día.

Para ese entonces no todos tenían acceso a este tipo de herramientas para crear imágenes, todo era mucho mas reservado y era aun a tecnología que apenas estaba naciendo, y el interés de estos usuarios que dejaron su comentario fue algo genial, pues tanto ellos como yo, teníamos la curiosidad de saber cuál sería el resultado que esta IA nos daría con solo tres palabras.

Algunas imágenes era perturbadoras, eso no se puede negar, incluso recuero usuarios ajenos a HIVE, que comentaban en algunos foros que esta tecnología estaba haciendo cosas grotescas, pues algunos usuarios con malas intenciones, hacían peticiones algo extrañas para poder crear imágenes que no eran normales o comunes para nosotros, y esto lo digo en muchos sentidos, desde gore hasta cosas más horribles, pues para ese momento esta tecnología estaba programada para seguir las peticiones y hacerlo lo más similar que pudiese, o ser creativa con el resultado a dar.

No tenía limitación alguna con tipos de contenido restringido, y eso dio un margen muy amplio a las personas para imaginar posibles escenarios creados con esta tecnología.

Últimos avances en generación de imágenes con IA

El último año ha sido testigo de una revolución silenciosa, no puedo decir que fue algo lento, pero sí que fue constante e impresionante. Los algoritmos han evolucionado, ya no son tan inexpertos o poco entrenados como lo eran antes, y con esta evolución también mejoro la calidad de imágenes generadas, ahora todo es más preciso o más fácil de usar que antes.

Ahora, con solo unas palabras clave, la IA puede producir ilustraciones y escenas con un nivel de detalle y realismo que antes era inalcanzable, pues le faltaba entrenar más modelos de lenguaje para poder dar resultados interesantes. Artistas y diseñadores exploran estas herramientas, expandiendo los límites de la creatividad, incluso en mi artículo donde explique sobre la IA, mencione que pronto podían llegar a crear imágenes o ilustraciones tan buenas como las de un diseñador gráfico o algo similar, y ahora podemos ver que eso ya es la realidad, incluso nosotros los creadores de contenido nos beneficiamos mucho de este tipo de tecnología para ilustrar nuestro contenido.

Puedes ver acá que para este prompt la IA no logro generar una imagen, pues toma una palabra del prompt como algo inadecuado, es acá donde digo que antes todos podíamos generar lo que fuera, pues esta censura no se aplicaba.

En cierta forma es bueno, pero en otras ocasiones es malo.

Puedes ver como todo es distinto, mismas peticiones, mismas palabras, diferente modelo y mejores resultados, para esta ocasión he usado el modelo Copilot de Microsoft Bing.

¿Son imágenes perfectas?, la respuesta es no, ¿Puede sustituir a un humano?, la respuesta sigue siendo no, pues la IA es un elemento de apoyo o recurso que está en aprendizaje, y por más que aparente ser perfecta le faltara algo llamado (Sentido de Humano), le falta mucho aún por mejorar, pero los cambios son claros.
