Hand Signs - Dreemport Challenge

Greetings my fellow Dreemlins!!

Today we are tasked with yet another mind-boggling activity. To be honest, after reading the instructions for this edition, I was left more confused by how Dreemsteem manages to come up with these exhilarating tasks. She never ceases to blow my mind with each coming week.

Without further ado, permit me to take you through the journey of how I and Teem Phronesis came up with these cool hand signs and their meanings!

My Personal Sign

There I was, confused and yet excited to come up with the most impressive hand sign dreemport has ever seen. I began twiddling my fingers, in a bid to find something; anything that made sense and that could also hold a deep meaning.

My first try was the peace sign, and then some other commons ones. I even got my fingers all tangled up!😅

I was about to throw in the towel and call it quits when in a bid to untangle my fingers, they formed the perfect sign.

I’ll explain their meaning in a second but take a look at it first, from different angles… soak it all in.

A hand sign where the fingers of one hand wrap around those of the other hand. But one set of fingers faces up while the other set closes in onto the first hand. Let’s name the hand with the open fingers; Hand A, and the one with closed fingers; Hand B.

This particular gesture captures the essence of this marathon. Such that Hand B represents the oldies on Hive with all their knowledge, and Hand A represents the Newbies with their zeal to learn.

The hand B wrapping around Hand A represents the oldies passing all their knowledge to the newbies and impacting their hive journeys. It also represents their devotion and willingness to stand by the newbies through any challenges.

The open stance of Hand A represents the reception of the teaching and guidance of the oldies. It also indicates their application of what they’ve received into their day to day Hive navigation.

The Teem Sign

After much deliberation and election, the sign suggested by Deraa won the selection round and we chose this wonderful sign.

The sign comes with a theme – Leen on Me

It symbolizes support and love. As you might know one of our mates has not been well and this sign was made in honor of him; as a show of love and solidarity.

It also goes to show how we as team mates should take it upon ourselves to look out for one another.

The purpose of this marathon journey is not to necessarily win, but to work in harmony with your fellow mates and render help when needed.
