The Life Is ...
This war will end someday. And when I look back on these long years, I will remember not only the bad, but also the good. One could say that we were born in difficult times and that we were unlucky with our neighboring country. One could mourn the past or grieve over unfulfilled plans. But life can only be lived once.

In life, there are many shades of gray between black and white. After the latest massive shelling of Kyiv, more than 6,000 high-rise buildings were left without heat. Do you know what the temperature is in Kyiv these days? -10 during the day and -15 at night -15. The Russians are doing this on purpose.
But when you see this fairy-tale beauty outside your window in the morning, you smile and forget about the war for a while. This can be learned. I learned it because otherwise my life would have lost its meaning long ago. And that would mean that our enemy had won.

I haven't seen my hubby for more than 3 months now.
But I know this will end, his time there, and he will come home.
Sometimes I dream about him. Once I had a dream that he came back, and I showed him what had changed since he left. Here is the window pane that survived the drone crash, which our neighbor helped us put back in. Here are the new plates I bought for Christmas. And some new Christmas tree decorations. And something else for him personally. Oh, and his favorite treats.
It's so strange.
My husband has never been romantic. He never liked talking about his feelings. I learned to read between the lines a long time ago. This separation is the longest we've ever had, so he's learned to say “I miss you” and “I love you.” We don't get to talk very often, but we have voice messages that we can listen to over and over again.
Well, I am happy to share these little things with you. It's time to say goodbye; they will turn off the lights soon, and I still have something to do. Wish me good luck!
Take care of yourselves and cherish your loved ones who are close to you.

Beautiful pictures, I especially like the picture of червона калина with ice over it. Hopefully this war will end in the next couple years, nothing goes on forever. And of course they are doing it on purpose to make people uncomfortable in winter...
Thank you sooo much, especially for червона калина ❤️❤️❤️
I really really appreciate it!
Must be difficult for him too, as God knows what conditions they have where he is, but all this is going to end one day and you'll be with him again.
You're right, tough situations teach you to value small things and changes you big time.
Hang in there as hopefully this year they reach an agreement. Stay safe my lovely friend, I'm always thinking of you 💚🤗
I always appreciate your understanding and your support. Thank you, dear ❤️

I am so happy you checked in with us! I've been thinking about you much lately, since the news of the attack that left so many without heat or electricity. I am glad you are okay and safe! You are in our thoughts and prayers, dear one! 💖
800 homes still without heating. Yesterday our house was also without heating, electricity and water. but those who survived the collapse of the Soviet Union know how to survive.
And... I can't thank enough for all your suport, dear @thekittygirl! !HUG
Wishing you all the luck in the world. It's great to see you can find the joy in the little things, most of the time that's what actually counts - and btw, those photos are awesome! May 2026 will finally be the year where this madness ends!
And it worked out!
My car froze after heavy rain that turned into snow and ended in strong frost. It looked like a frozen shrimp in glaze 😁 I spent a whole week trying to defrost it but the side mirrors froze and wouldn't open. I need my car badly because of the situation with snow, frost and lack of electricity (for public transport too). Finally today my friend's friend agreed to let me park my car in his parking spot for a few hours. Now everything works! 🤞 I hope in the morning it will start and the mirrors will open.
Perfect! :))
I hope you will see your husband again soon! No, no war is good, but I feel from your post so much light and hope... You are strong! Take care, @zirochka, sending you hugs and all the best wishes!
Thank you @mipiano! He will need doctors' help on return, and a treatment, but after he get well I hope to take him to Spain. And who knows, maybe we can meet this time.
Then when it happens, when you both come to Spain 🤞 let me know, for a little meeting 😉🤗
You have my word 🫶
Me too me too!!!
🥰
3 months is a long time, way too long, I guess they say "absence makes the heart grow fonder". I guess these times apart make the moments together even more meaningful. Like you say life goes on and we must enjoy each and every moment to its fullest.
You are a strong person.
Thank you for your kind words, @grindle ❤️
you are very welcome xx

One cannot imagine what it is like to live through a situation like that until one experiences it firsthand, but I see that you maintain your firm hope that all this will end and it will.
You got it right, and I appreciate it ❤️
I don't follow the news and your "on-the-ground" catch up is the only news I get.
And you humanize it.
It is fucking shocking that you (and we) are living through another round of this. While the fat cats who earn off this sit comfortable and happy, wasting our lives for profit.
There. I said it.
I can not believe that we are living through it. And it IS global now. You were the beginning. And here we are. Surreal.
You are beautiful.
Thanks for keeping a diary of this.
Without heating... Brr cold. I couldn't imagine how cold it would be.
Or 25 hours without power.
It's challenging
