sketchbook Vintage Sportsman

Hey everyone,

I am here again with a new character doodle in my sketchbook today. I was having a good time and a lot of fun experimenting with just my blue color pen, and this guy kind of appeared quickly onto my blank page. I do not have a plan today not drawing a specific person, but I got a really strong feeling of someone enjoying an old school sport or maybe just wearing a cool vintage outfit like we see on old films. Something about the classics that I love.

I focused a lot on the outfit details here using just my memory to draw, and I think this really set the mood. The little cap on his head is actually from an IG reel I saw, then made those fun vertically striped socks, they should be horizontal but I made and mistake and I could not go back. I love a baggy, cuffed trousers with all the folds and that is quite tricky to draw. It could be a look for a vintage cycling race?

My blue pen can create that unique personality, I don't need anything else just a plain simple pen. Changing up the clothes a bit can actually help create an interesting character with personality.

What do you guys think of this image I made? Does he look like someone you'd see in town or maybe just someone who is a big fan of vintage clothes? He is standing there with his hands in his pockets that is a vibe. It was fun making this drawing.
