Weekly Zekely - Winter, Business, Games and Beer
.jpg)
12 eventful days since the last not-so-weekly Zekely where we look back on the camera roll to see what we got up to the last while.
In this edition, we are watching the weather swing manically between winter and spring, getting beery, and enjoying a little fun and games.

Where we left off...
Seems like a long 12 days ago when I look back and see the little dood in his park with snow still on the ground. Damn cold as it should be in February and spring a pipedream.
Somewhere between then and now, we did enjoy a late winter storm. The kind that has a wise person heading indoors and enjoying the spectacle from the other side of a window, perhaps beside a fire place. Not me though as I have a #Wednesdaywalk to write that you can walk along with me here https://hive.blog/hive-167922/@zekepickleman/wednesdaywalk-winter-wonderland
Today, it got up to 18 Celsius and there is not a trace of snow. Just the perfect warm start to March so that everyone puts their snow blowers away and take their snow tires off. I am hoping for one more serious snow that seems to hit us every year and everyone else conveniently forget.
I did get some extra dog in this week too. This is a cute little corgi puppy named Pebbles who is one of three in the house hold of a friends of ours. So soft an nippy and almost makes me want to get another puppy. Actually not even close. Ours is enough.

Beer
That same friend happens to have a fantastic brewing operation in his garage. These are a couple all-in-one brewers that are fantastic for controlling the temperature during the boil and we fired up a pair of them to brew our very own IPA. I will have to save that tale 'til when the beer is ready somewhere close to #beersaturday 350 but it should be hoppy and tasty!
While it will take a couple weeks for the beer to ferment and be ready, I did get into some other beer that was interesting! I will probably drop this one as the Pint of the Week this week but thought it cool an wooly enough to share here. Chockie Wockie!?

Business
A week doesn't go by without work as a big part of the adventure. Thus is the way when you run your own business and that gets you in all kinds of neat places. This is going to be a short term rental property on the side of a golf course! I have to pull wires through here and install a computer network so I should be seeing plenty of the inside of this place plenty over the coming months. Maybe even score a night and a round with my better half if we do well. More fun for the summer.
Like here on #hive, networking is important! One of my favourite networking events happens monthly with the Chamber of Commerce. Owners and leaders attend these events to connect on a personal level and share stories and opportunities. This one happened at the local radio station which was celebrating 100 years in business.

PLAYOFFS!
We may be months away from NBA basketball or NHL hockey playoffs but our local teams are heading into the post season. @town-crier / https://www.towncriermarketing.ca partners with the Fight Irish semi pro league helping with digital presence, fund raising and event promotion. This gets me season passes to some damn good hockey and I had the chance to see the boys go up 2-0 in the opening round of the playoffs. Should be a fun few weeks as they go for a repeat on the league title. LET'S GO IRISH!

Gaming

A bit of the evening distraction the last week or so has been a new game called Helldivers 2 https://store.steampowered.com/app/553850/HELLDIVERS_2/ The dialogue is silly and the playability is fantastic so we are having a blast playing it. I simply can't wait til this quality of game is available for and integrated with Hive. There is no reason to have to depend upon a reselling and networking platform like Steam when all of that including monetization (of their Supercredits) could be done with $HIVE or $HBD. Til then, I will game where the playability is and wait for #Holozing!

The sun has gone down on another good couple of weeks where the weather is indecisive but at least the days are getting longer. The next couple weeks should be some kind of busy as we gradually plod toward spring and the busy season here. I might miss the slightly slower pace of the offseason but am definitely looking forward to cranking up the business and leisure activities for the summer!
