Time again to look back through my pictures and see if there is enough adventure to appease the masses.

In this edition, I am flipping between winter & spring, getting involved in a bunch of neat new projects, and enjoying a beer with Live Music!

Where we left off...

7 short days ago, it was a sunny and warm 16 Celsius at the dog park. The typical winter fake-out that prompts those with memory loss to go get their summer tires on the car.



Wise ol' Zeke wasn't fooled when there was another drop in temperatures and dusting of snow. I believe we are not done yet and never take the snow tires off until April. Do you know we get discounts on our car insurance when we use snow tires in the winter up here in Canadia?


The snow didn't last long. Mainly just accumulated enough to melt along with the top frost and make everything mushy in the trails. I have a hundred or so picture from this exact spot throughout the season I really have to get around to combining into a 4-season animated gif. Anyone know of a program, preferably free with some AI to make something like that from a series of pictures?



Besides that, and despite the fact we are only in the first of March, there are little signs of spring starting to sprout. The green returning is such a happy sight up here after a long winter, even though this winter sure seemed short and mild. Finally the investment into climate change is making a difference up here! ;)

Summer Vibes

As if the mild weather and emerging green isn't enough to make us think about spring and summer. We are in the middle of March break here for the kids and many are taking vacations. Not in the cards for me this year as business is booming and I have a seat by the seaside right here in town!

This is a new client with https://www.towncriermarketing.ca called The Salt Cabin https://www.thesaltcabin.ca Bringing them on and helping them create some hype & marketing mechanisms leading up to the grand opening, I am learning neat stuff about the medical benefits of salt therapy. All I know is I have to chill here at some point.

Besides the salt cabin room, there are a few other features like this room where the manicures and pedicures will happen. I love the lighting and effects where you put your hands and feet, especially knowing what this room looked like before the renovation. I REALLY have to force some @town-crier time onto my crazy schedule to catch up on all of these business stories, promote our clients and boost that SEO with the sweet-sweet related words that come with a blog post! Hive is an SEO superpower unless the new algorithm delivers on penalizing the duplicate content on multiple sites.

Music!

Enough business! Time to get back to the MUSIC! It is that time of year again when I get together with the guys and throw together a rock and roll show scheduled for later this month. Here is my view from behind the mic for one of the songs I am singing. WTF they always pick me to sing AC/DC makes sense but dammit I do a number on my vocal chords trying to replicate the screechy vocals of Brian Johnson. Should be a fun show and worthy of 3 Pics & a Story after Easter weekend.



This is part music and part business I suppose as we have picked up another new client and are helping them promote a music festival showcasing regional musical talent. Word has gotten out that we are good at this sort of thing and now we are invited to all the cool shows! This one is the beginning of April and I will be sure to take you with me.

BEER!

Since I am The Blockchain Beerologist, there HAS to be beer right? You may have caught my IPA Brewing Adventure on the latest #beersaturday post here https://hive.blog/hive-167922/@zekepickleman/beersaturday-lets-brew-an-ipa and I will actually get to taste the results in a couple days. 'Til then, gotta keep discovering the latest regional craft beer, especially if it is my favourite style.

This one will show you how silly the naming conventions have become and how far these amateur branding people have strayed from what works. I wouldn't start a brewery and expect to sell any beer without making sure I have an expert brand designer as beer is nothing but slightly different ingredients and marketing. Still, this one made it into my fridge and into my face so they must be doing something right. It will be a part of the next post and is part of yet another IPA tester pack I will share.

I will have to wrap it up here for this week. 'Til the next edition of your Zekely, I will leave you with a late winter glimpse of Lake Ontario from the north shore just West of Toronto. Still pretty gray but there are signs of life and hints of spring just around the corner.
