Thoughtful 3-Tune Tuesday - Living and Maturity

Music and thoughtfulness make me happy so I enjoy combining them in #threetunetuesday? I usually post #thoughtfuldailypost (@Wesphilbin waves the @thoughtfulposts flag) on Thursdays and have incorporated music for quite a while. So, why not switch it up and join the fun on #threetunetuesday as well?
Songs about Living and Maturing coming up so I will start with a rocking Canadian classic from Triumph about the weekend.

Would You Live for Them?

Matt Beaudreau is apparently founder of Apogee which "equips entire families—parents and children alike—to think boldly, act bravely, and live free." I didn't dare read much further so I can stay objective of the wisdom in the words!
This one starts out with a heavy statement and keeps going. I bet most parents would claim they would die for their child as a testament to their love and devotion as a parent. But would we live for them? WTH does that mean?
It is not convenient to get oneself healthy because discipline, sacrifice and consistency are not easy. Distractions seem to come in so many forms of reward or challenge these days, how do you eliminate them? Leading intentionally? Man that is a lot harder in practice when you lead by example and pour yourself into helping someone succeed.
Living every day the right way so you live long enough to truly be there for your child would provide so many other benefits! Damn hard to do but how about the motivation that it is even better than dying for someone.
A little cheesy 80s hair metal but I'll Be There for You by Jovi sure fits this one!

Maturing

Rock Solid Mindset seems to be a clever way to monetize memes and wallpaper images but the price of a good or service is that which the market will bear after all. Here is one for free.
Whenever I see these, I am of 2 minds. One comes from being my generation, knowing that feelings don't matter, nobody cares, work harder, and nothing worthwhile comes without some sort of a trial. Some could see it as a chapter in toxic masculinity or maybe men masking their inconvenience as pain and suffering. I like to take the masculine/feminine angle out of these and evaluate them from the perspective of all people.
All I know is that pain, failure, rejection, loss disrespect and heartbreak are all learning opportunities. When you have battled as many seasons as me, the years have a way of normalizing all of those back to the trials we must face. Maybe it is not the years which build maturity and wisdom, but the trials we have to face over those years. Maybe we all just need a certain number of years to get those trials under our belt to mature truly.
Who the hell wants to mature truly anyhow?!
Like Todd Rundgren, I just wanna bang on the drum all day but maybe my trials will score me some maturity at some point. Song is just as good live back in the day!

So happy to be combining #threetunetuesday and #thoughtfuldailypost with some thoughtfulness and music. If being thoughtful is up your alley, you have the option to delegate to @thoughfulposts to increase the rewards for positivity.
https://hive.blog/introduceyourself/@thoughtfulposts/thoughtfulposts-introduction-or-a-thoughtfuldailypost is the post that started it all way back when Covid kicks the world's ass!
Here's to introspection, discussion and MUSIC!

Live for your children is an interesting topic, it's indeed harder to take routines who keep you healthy so you can keep taking care of them, it's also hard to not get distracted and think only about them... Harder than say I would die for them indeed
We appreciate you taking the time, to either use #ThoughtfulDailyPost, or otherwise help this Community grow. So...
