RE: Don't Get Struck

Oh yes I love storms!

My wife worries about them, checking repeatedly for tornado warnings or storm warnings and worrying what will happen when they arrive. How many times have you had a flooded house, tornado ruin the home, or get struck by lightning. How many decades?!? By now have you not figured out it is a non issue until it is, whether or not you worry about it?

One of my earliest formative memories is my dad waking me up in the middle of the night to sit on the front step and watch a lightning storm. I could probably paint a picture of it. So I LOVE taking time to watch the lightning. Bring it on!

In the winter up here in Canada, 🇨🇦 snow storms can cause havoc too. I just remember as a kid praying for a storm so that we can have a snow day and not go to school. Bring it on!

So, hell yah! I love storms and taking moments to just stop and smell the roses…or lightning.

Hahaha yeah, my wife is a pain in the ass worrying about miniscule ass issues, it's quite silly. Always the "what-ifs" and not really things that are sensible. It's important to have a packed to-go bag, not making sure that the fireproof bag has been sealed twice to prevent bugs from chewing the papers inside.

Ah I gotta love core memories like that. I think it's important that we stop and enjoy the small moments of life, and smell the petrichor :D
