Pickleman Adventure - Let's Go Tubing!

Pickleman Adventure! (2).png

What do you do when winter rages on but it is time for fun? Tubing!

River Valley

When cousins are visiting from outta town, it is time to plan some outdoor activity. -14 Celsius as a high? No problem.

IMG_8010.JPG

A few miles out of town, there lies a place known as River Valley. In the summer, it is a golf course we love to play. In the winter? Tube sliding takes over as the golf goes indoors.

IMG_8011.JPG

The wide angle shot show bright blue skies, 2 different hills, and not too many people because of the extreme cold. Perfect!

IMG_8012.JPG

All you have to do is grab a tube and head up the conveyor belt to the top of the hill.

IMG_8014.JPG

At the top, you wait your turn while lounging in your tube, and get ready to blast down the hill risking a face full of snow.

IMG_8013.JPG

There has been almost too much snow and they have the hills well-groomed into tracks the tubes follow so you are not crossing into the path of others.

IMG_8017.JPG

You can even gather together and go down as a small group. Saves a bit of time for everyone instead of going as a single and more fun.

IMG_8016.JPG

We got a little creative in one of our formations. It was much funnier and more obvious to us but difficult what shape we were going for in the pic. As a hint, 2 blue balls in the background and 3 pink tubes in a row in the front. 3 guesses.

IMG_8018.JPG

From the top of the hill, you can see your eventual destination if you zoom in on the photo and find the yellow barricade at the bottom.

IMG_8019.JPG

Fun day of outdoor active fun for the young ones and the old fellas alike.

Cap the day off with a picture in the frame like a tourist. Can't imagine many tourists from the south venturing out in this cold snap but I would highly recommend it.

Looks like y'all had a blast. It's been forever since I've been tubing. Ever since I figured out that I hate the snow.. but right up until that point it was a great time

Ya I would definitely not be out there except to entertain the kids.

I thought for sure you would be the one to guess the formation.

Haha ya. We are dicks too and the kids have guilty smiles in the pic because they know we are sliding a huge shlong down the hill.

Wow man, this looks like a magic experience, and it seems like everyone enjoyed the tubing. I cannot even imagine living in temperatures like that, but the human body can adapt to anything. We have a total alternative here in Africa, as our bodies have to adapt to very hot temperatures that can reach into the late 40 degrees Celsius in some areas of our country.
Such is life.

Yah I aggrandize a little for the sake of blog and my southern friends. Truth is covering your skin and staying active makes it easy to stay comfy. Toes became a little numb but that was probably just havein old person circulation.

Well, it looked like you guys were having a ton of fun. Staying active will also do the trick, as if one were to sit still, then one can turn into an ice block methinks. Funny that you mention having old circulation, as I also suffer from it, and the heat is really not a great helper, as it makes one's blood thicker. So, I have to take a blood thinner pill every day.
Such is life.

Haha that's super fun! Here we don't have those donuts for the snow, they are used in water parks only but they must be so fun

Ya these ones seem to be specially made.

Normal tubes with a strong fabric wrap to protect them and a hard plastic bottom to make them slide well. Great simple winter fun!

This is also a popular winter activity here.

Greetings @zekepickleman ,

What a lovely way to spend a day! So beautiful and great fun besides.

Indeed....appreciate your cordial invitation. ^__^

You did say Beer afterwards...your own special hops brew? Or is that the one you just finished off?

Kind Regards, Bleujay

Definitely fun and I am happy the kids forced us outside for some more winter activity!

Beer was definitely in the equation and would be if you join us next time too. These are the tall cool ones we celebrated with later that day.
