Weekend Experiences - A bit of Everything!

I have missed the deadline for #WeekendExperiences by @galenkp as I often do but I love to play along anyhow. This week's post can be found at https://hive.blog/hive-168869/@galenkp/weekend-engagement-topics-week-263 I also love #SublimeSunday (inspired by @c0ff33a) and #BeautifulSunday (initiated by @ace108) with no time limits and are equally as fun to follow.
This weekend was full of camping and outdoors as one might expect on the first day of summer!

First things first! The Prompt!

Have you ever been punched in the face or have you ever punched or slapped someone else in the face?
For someone who likes to shoot their mouth off like I do, you would suspect I have taken my share of shots to the grill. Truth is, it has never really happened except by mistake training with crazy people like this. I remember giving a guy 8 straight punches to the lips because he thought it would be a good idea to jump my brother but that is about as close as I have ever come to a real fight. Despite training brazilian jiu jitsu for over 10 years, I have zero motivation to be in a fight except in tournaments with trained martial artists but those are not really fights.
So, very few punches to the face so far and hopefully none to come!

Camping!
This weekend was our annual First Camping Trip of the Year. Mainly because we camp every year so there has to be a first. Also because it is in a provincial park right in the middle of a big city so it is not back woods like camping should be. Still, tents up, camp fires and a keg of IPA to share with the other families that join us here.
My phone didn't make it out too much as it would distract from all the family, friends and out door adventure. So, unfortunately not too many pics. I did remember to pause while at the camp fire and take my customary straight up shot. The firelight reflected off the trees above but the light and air polution from the city obscured any of the stars. I will have better ones with stars in a couple weeks as we have plenty of back country camping booked for the summer.
The last one I took was Sunday morning after all the partying had been done, and all the camping gear was packed up for the ride home. Nothing to do but enjoy one last beer and pour a little of the cooler water over our heads to cool off.
You can see how hot it was on the drive home and why the cooler water was a highlight. That's 100 damn freedom units way up here in Canadia the day after the start of summer. Bring on the summer adventure.

My little guy loved the change of scenery and smells on the camping trip. He slept at our feet and enjoyed every stroll. Still, it was nice to get him home and out to the dog park.

Look at these twits. If only we could have so much fun on a summer day.
Now that summer is here, the hoses are on and the kiddie pools are out to cool off the dogs. My little guy likes to run up the muddy creek beds so I encourage him to hit the pools to clean off as well as cool off. He likes to circle these clockwise scooping up water til he coughs. Then, he like to dig at the water like this and make others laugh while he cools off.

Did I Mention Beer?
Of course there was beer on a weekend. 20 extra litres at camping for that matter but not everyone brings a keg camping. Anyhow, I ended off the weekend adventure with a nice double IPA I hadn't tasted yet. I may make time for a #beersaturday post yet and tell you more about it.

So, the sun has set on another sublime and beautiful weekend and the hazy evenings are already upon us. Here's to all the weekend warriors and all the adventures we will share this summer.
