Today we have another Battle Mage Secrets event, the chosen rule is Noxious Fumes, a fun rule that makes matches end very quickly ๐Ÿ˜, it's a rule full of tricks and different moves, it was very easy to win a match to put here, it was a Silver league match in the modern format.

NOXIOUS FUMESAll monsters start the battle poisoned.

Noxious Fumes is a very interesting rule where all units are poisoned ๐Ÿ˜…, meaning that units with low HP can die at the start of the second round due to this damage passing through the armor, with this in mind a good start would be to avoid these fragile units, in addition, skills such as Cleanse, Immunity and Rebirth(Resurrect) are good alternatives to remove the poison from your units, and usually all matches on this rule end incredibly quickly ๐Ÿ˜‚.

My main strategy in this rule is to use units with the martyr ability so that they die quickly and activate the effect as soon as possible, I also like to leave a unit with Enrage, as it will easily be activated in round 2, apart from that I follow the standard play of this rule, placing robust units and abilities to remove this poison from my cards ๐Ÿ˜‡.

A match with 39 mana and the Noxious Fumes/Super Sneak rules, knowing the rule that will poison my units I avoided fragile units as much as possible, but I used the rat with Martyr in the last position to hold some attacks in the back line and still buff my tank that will hold the rear, to take advantage of the super sneak rule I focused on a full melee team, I used a unit to train two units without attack but robust, they have excellent support skills such as rust, strengthen and slow, in addition to my favorite tank with enrage.

image.pngSummoner : A good summoner for almost all rules, this armor will help with sneak attacks that certainly appeared, and its speed buff will help with dodging and the chance to attack first.
image.pngTank : Unit with a lot of armor, trample and enrage, when it gets angry it hits with 5 damage at this level, and this buff will be activated easily in round 2 due to the poison.
image.pngOff-Tank/Support: Excellent unit to receive training, its debuff also removes annoying armor that may appear on the field.

Analyzing the match: We chose the same summoner but more than half of the teams are different, both used the Vernari Marksrat in the last position to be sacrificed, however my opponent has the powerful Coastal Sentry which will still receive the martyr's buff, my units are much more robust, and I practically removed all the opponent's shield, but he has much more damage on the table than me, it will certainly be a quick match.

Round 1 - In the first move of the game Noa knocked out the opposing Venari Marksrat which ended up giving a buff to my biggest threat, soon after it was my Venari's turn at least she held off two attacks from the powerful Coastal Sentry, some more damage was applied to the units but nothing too different.

Round 2 - The first wave of poison passes through and activates the enrage of the two Diemonsharks as well as killing Venator Kinjo, soon afterwards the very weakened Coastal Sentry is knocked out by Noa The Just, then Kulu Mastermind kills Angelic Mandarin, the round ends with me with a big advantage.

Round 3 - Victory finally came, right after the second wave of poison the last two opposing units were left with very low HP and Diemonshark annihilated them both with his trample, giving me the victory.

All my main strategies worked, Venari Marksrat as a sacrifice held off 2 powerful hits from Coasatal Sentry, and DiemonShark activated his enrage practically without any effort hitting very hard after that, Noa The Just and Baakjira in addition to causing good damage were very effective in their debuff, one left the opposing team practically unprotected and the other reduced the speed and increased the HP of my Team, something very useful in matches with poison, my back line tank remained standing until the end of the match and practically held the entire opposing team, it is really very resistant even with its low mana cost, Kulu Mastermind has become my best weapon, it left all cards without incredibly strong damage, in addition to it alone it already hits very well.

As you saw, Noxious Fumes is a rule that makes the game very quick, so fragile cards won't be good here, with the exception of units with marty, which are awesome like meat shield ๐Ÿ˜„, Enrage and even Baakjiraa's ability to give +1 HP to allies are good options, as the last can give units another round of life if calculated correctly ๐Ÿ˜‚.
