Crochet skull cap.

Welcome to my blog. Today I will be guiding you all on how I crochet this beautiful skull cap.

That's Amarachi my course mate. Infact she couldn't wait for me to finish the hat. She has been ringing it to my ears that she will model the hat for me. And she slayed it beautifully.
I love this skull cap because it come in handy for ladies who always want to style there wigs with something simple but unique. Secondly for we the student who love to weave our hair all back. Haha! It fits so well with that style.
Lets get started with what we've come to do. Like I always tell you all, trust the peocess.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE

MATERIALS USED:

1. Yarn.
2. 2.5mm hook.
3. A pear of scissors.
4. Beads.
5. Darning needle.
   And yes I bought my favourite fruit! cucumber and groundnut. Is it just me cause I love this combo.
   

NOTE: You will be coming across some crochet terms in this tutorial which are: double crochet, magic ring, chain, slip stitch, skip space.

STEP 1: I made a magic ring, Chain 2, then I place 11 double crochet in the magic ring. I slip stitch in the first stitch to close the circle.

STEP 2: I chained 5, then I place 1 double crochet in the same stitch. I chained 2, in the next stitch, I place 1 double crochet.
I chained 2 again, in the next stitch, I place 1 double crochet. I repeat the same process until the end of the row. To close the row, I chain 2, and slip stitch in the 3rd chain of the first chain 5 of the row.

STEP 3: I chained 3, in the same stitch I place 1 double crochet. I chain 2, skipped the first space, in the next stitch I placed 2 double crochet.
I chained 2, skipped the next space, in the next stitch I place 2 double crochet. I repeat the same process until the end of the row. And to close the row, I slip stitch in the 3rd chain.

STEP 4: To start row 4, I chained 4. in the next stitch, I place 1 double crochet. I chain 2, skipped the space, in the next stitch, I place 1 double crochet.
I chain 1, then in the next stitch, I place 1 double crochet.

I chain 2, skipped the next space, in the next stitch, I place 1 double crochet. Chain 1, and 1 double crochet in the next stitch. I repeat until the end of the row. To end the row, I slip stitch in the 3rd chain.

STEP 5: I chained 5. In the next stitch, I place 1 double crochet. I chain 2,skipped the next space, in the next stitch, I place 1 double crochet. I chain 2, in the next stitch, 1 double crochet. Chain 2, in the next stitch place 1 double crochet. I repeat the same process and to close the row, I chain 2 and slip stitch in the 3rd chain.

STEP 6: I chained 3. In the same stitch, I place 1 double crochet. I chain 2, skipped the space, in the next stitch, I place 2 double crochet.
I repeat chain 2, skip the space, then in the next stitch, I place 2 double crochet. I repeat across the row then as usual, I chain 2, and slip stitch in the 3rd chain.
So in this row 6 I stop making increases.

STEP 7: I chain 3. In the same stitch, I place 1 double crochet. I chain 2, skipped the space, then I place 1 double crochet and I place another 1 double crochet in the next stitch. I repeat across the row. Then I chain 2, and slip stitch in the 3rd chain.

SO AT THIS POINT, I CONTINUE TO REPEAT ROW 7 UNTIL I HAVE MY DESIRED LENGTH.

I STOPPED MINE AT ROW 20 AND I ATTACHED MY BEADS.

AND TADAA THE SKULL CAP LOOKS PRETTY. THIS ISN'T THE BEAD I SAW ON THE INSPO BUT I DECIDED TO USE THIS ONE INSTEAD AND IT'S NOT BAD EITHER.

Isn't our model so pretty!!🥹
