Worklife - 2024 Site Establishment begins!

Good day everyone! Zak Ludick here from Cape Town, South Africa! I am here at the docks, busy setting up my site establishment that MAY just be my usual place of work for the next 4 to 5 months!

What you are seeing in the picture above are two containers, both of them mine. The one at the bottom is a regular storage unit that opens on the right hand side.

The container on top is an office container that is insulated and has an AC, that will be my office and the staff canteen.

The whole construct neighbors close on to the rest of the scaffolding and his spot between the containers is also covered so it will make for a cool and shady spot for people to sit and chill out during break time.

There is my office container! I will only be able to go in there on Monday morning and the populate that space with my furniture.

I still have quite a bit of prep work to do before we can start working! As far as I know the vessel arrives on the 19th (Monday) and it needs to dock into the dry dock area, close the gate and start draining the dock and line it up with the chocks.

It is likely that we will onyl be able to get on board the vessel by the afternoon.

Then the Survey Phase happens, for three days... and then Standard Maintenance. So wish me luck!
