This is not to just regurgitating the stats and skills. I provide my own assessment of what I think of the unit and its capabilities. Often... about how to use them best... or how to kill them best!

Hobby Fund - Working myself into the clear

With my hobby posts, I generate a hobby fund. 50% of the income goes into the fund. At the moment I put all my HBD earned from Warhammer posts into my alt account @zakl.hobbyfund.

I am collecting funds in the following ways:

  • Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
  • Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
  • Selling some of the collection to friends.

Drukhari, Hellions

10th Edition Index

Hellions are part of the Wych Cults of Cammoragh, meaning that they take battle stims and drugs, usually take part in gladiatorial combat and capture slaves.

They are fast and deadly... and as far as I remember, fragile! Their main strength is the ability to hit first.

They are 75pts for 5 models and 150pts for 10 models.

Let's check their stats!

Toughness 4
Save 5+/6++(armor/invul/Feel No Pain)
Wounds 2
Ld 6+
OC 1

Weapons

Weapon Loadout: Splinter Pods and Hellglaive

The Helliarch can be equipped with a Phantasm Grenade Launcher.
The Helliarch can exchange its Hellglaive with a Splinter Pistol and a Helliarch Weapon

Ranged Weapons

Splinter Pods

18" Range, 2 Shots, Hitting on 3+, S2, AP0 and 1 Damage each.
Anti-Infantry 3+ (This Weapon Wounds Infantry on a 3+ regardless of their Toughness
Assault - This weapon can be fired, even while the unit has Advanced.
Twin-linked - This weapon can re-roll to Wound.

Splinter Pistol

12" Range, 1 Shot, Hitting on 3+, S2, AP0 and 1 Damage each.
Anti-Infantry 3+ (This Weapon Wounds Infantry on a 3+ regardless of their Toughness
Assault - This weapon can be fired, even while the unit has Advanced.
Pistol - This weapon can be fired while the model is within engagement range.

Melee Weapons

Hellglaive

3 Attacks, Hitting on 3+, S4, AP-1 and 2 Damage each.
Sustained Hits 1 - When rolling to hit, add 1 additional Hit when you roll a 6 to Hit)

Helliarch Weapon

5 Attacks, Hitting on 3+, S3, AP-1 and 1 Damage each.
Sustained Hits 1 - When rolling to hit, add 1 additional Hit when you roll a 6 to Hit)
Anti-Infantry 3+ (This Weapon Wounds Infantry on a 3+ regardless of their Toughness

Abilities

Hit and Run

This unit can Shoot and Declare a Charge in the same turn that it Falls Back.

Wargear - Phantasm Grenade Launcher - The bearer's unit has the Grenades Keyword.

Thoughts

These things are extremely fast!
But I think they are about as durable as a wet paper packet!

Not much to say except that if you have a chance to damage them before they charge - do so!.

You are right. Lots of light shots will be enough S4-S5 shots by the armful will down these guys. Basically, once the DE player reveals them, they die.
