Warhammer 40k - Review Library 423 - Drukhari, Drazhar
Violent Perfection!
Hello everyone! Zak Ludick here from Cape Town, South Africa and this is a Warhammer 40k - Datasheet Review post! I have recently needed to take a new direction. All the details about that is found Here - The Great 40k Review Plan
This is not to just regurgitating the stats and skills. I provide my own assessment of what I think of the unit and its capabilities. Often... about how to use them best... or how to kill them best!
Hobby Fund - Working myself into the clear
With my hobby posts, I generate a hobby fund. 50% of the income goes into the fund. At the moment I put all my HBD earned from Warhammer posts into my alt account @zakl.hobbyfund.
I am collecting funds in the following ways:
- Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
- Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
- Selling some of the collection to friends.
I will do a new estimation of what I owe soon!
Back to the review!
Drukhari, Drazhar
10th Edition Index
Drazhar is an Epic Hero, meaning you only get one of them. As many of these characters are, they are the "uber" version of something, then he is the ultra-version of an Incubi, the elite Dark Eldar Bodyguard/Executioners.
In fact, there is a rumor that Drazhar was actually one of the Aeldari Phoenix Lords, that he had led the Aspect Temple of the Striking Scorpion but he fell from the Path of Asuryan and joined the dark brethren in Camorragh.
That title and position since filled by Karandras...
Anyway... Drazhar is 85pts, let's see what he does!
Let's check their stats!
Stats
Movement 7"
Toughness 3
Save 2+/4++(armor/invul/Feel No Pain)
Wounds 5
Ld 6+
OC 1
Weapons
Weapon Loadout: The Executioner’s demiklaives
Ranged Weapons
None! He likes it close and dirty!
Melee Weapons
The Executioner’s demiklaives - Dual Blade
7 Attacks, Hitting on 2+, S5, AP-2 and 2 Damage each.
Twin-linked (He can re-roll to Wound)
The Executioner’s demiklaives - Single Blade
5 Attacks, Hitting on 2+, S6, AP-2 and 3 Damage each.
Devastating Wounds (Rolls of 6 to Wound cause Mortal Wounds)
Abilities
Master of Blades
While leading a unit, models in this unit get +1 to Wound Rolls on melee attacks
Vicious Execution
Once per battle, you can use this ability to give Drazhar Precision, meaning he can pick out and kill a Character in a unit. If he kills a Character, gain D3 Pain tokens, if it was the enemy Warlord, gain 3 Pain tokens instead!
Thoughts
The +1 to Wound is very powerful!
Incubi are S4 in melee and Drazhar is S5 or S6 depending on the weapon option he uses.
Against T4 Space Marines, the Incubi go from 4+ to Wound to 3+, Drazhar goes to 2+ to Wound them.
T5 Terminators. 5+ to 4+ for the Incubi. 4+ on the Dual Blades to 3+ on the Dual Blades for Drazhar but I guess he'd go for Single Blade on them to deal 3 damage and kill a Terminator with an unsaved wound OR to inflict Mortals with Dev Wounds.
A dangerous unit for nearly every enemy!
Thank you for reading!
