Warhammer 40k - Review Library 418 - Chaos Daemons, Tranceweaver
Tranceweaver? A bit too ugly to put anyone in a trance! Haha!

Hello everyone! Zak Ludick here from Cape Town, South Africa and this is a Warhammer 40k - Datasheet Review post!
What is it all about? It is not there to just give a stat. It is there to give MY review of the unit in the game of Warhammer 40,000
The last of the Indexes! A new challenge!
Right, I am finally ahead and by my best estimations as I explained in this Post, I should be able to keep ahead of the release curve and get the remainder of the Indexes reviewed before those Codex releases.
So I embark on a new challenge. I have calculated that there are roughly 148 reviews to do. I have chosen my frequency and have given myself 96 days to review them all.
Today is Day 43/96.
I have reviewed 65/148.
Time elapsed: 44.79%
Review Completion: 43.91%
Nearly 1% behind.
Hobby Fund - Working myself into the clear
With my hobby posts, I generate a hobby fund. 50% of the income goes into the fund. At the moment I put all my HBD earned from Warhammer posts into my alt account @zakl.hobbyfund.
I am collecting funds in the following ways:
- Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
- Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
- Selling some of the collection to friends.
At the current count I am paying off some hobby debts. I still have $226 to pay off!
Every bit counts!
Back to the review!
Chaos Daemons, Tranceweaver
10th Edition Index
The final Chaos Daemon datasheet to review... the Tranceweaver, yet another leader for Daemonettes.
Let's see what THIS one does! It costs 60pts.
Let's check its stats!
Stats
Movement 9"
Toughness 3
Save 7+/5++(armor/invul/Feel No Pain)
Wounds 3
Ld 7+
OC 1
Weapons
Weapon Loadout: Ravaging claws
Ranged Weapons
None
Melee Weapons
Ravaging claws
6 Attacks, Hitting on 2+, S4, AP-1 and 1 Damage each.
Devastating Wounds (Rolls of 6 to Wound cause Mortal Wounds)
Abilities
Deep Strike - If this unit arrives on the Battlefield from Reserves, it can be set up anywhere on the battlefield more than 9" from enemy models.
Fights First - This model has the Fights First ability.
Symphony of Pain
At the end of the Movement phase, select one enemy unit within 12" of this model. Until the end of the turn, when Slaanesh models attacks this enemy you can re-roll the Hit roll and re-roll the Wound roll.
Tranceweaver
Each time a model in this model's unit makes an attack, re-roll a 1 to Hit. If the target is in range of an objective, re-roll the Hit roll instead.
Thoughts
OK... this unit is actually extremely powerful and useful for only 60pts!
Re-rolls to Hit for Daemonettes is great, because Devastating Wounds trigger on Wound rolls.
The re-rolls to Hit and to Wound against a specific unit is amazing! This is like the old Oath of moment... you just need to get within 12" to use it. But you could field three of them... this could be really bad for the enemy!
That makes 52 Chaos Daemon Datasheets Reviewed, putting them on 100
% Completed! The total of the remaining Index reviews is now 81.
Thank you for reading!

@zakludick
I'm not really liking this model. I've been looking into GW and non-GW options for a proxy or kitbash. Maybe Drukhari or fantasy sylvaneth? Then the ultimate heresy came to mind: corrupt an Adepta Sororitas Repentia Squad model with daemonette parts and Green Stuff!
Absolutely! Just make your own! This model is fugly!
