Hello everyone! Zak Ludick here from Cape Town, South Africa and this is a Warhammer 40k - Datasheet Review post!

What is it all about? It is not there to just give a stat. It is there to give MY review of the unit in the game of Warhammer 40,000

The last of the Indexes! A new challenge!

Right, I am finally ahead and by my best estimations as I explained in this Post, I should be able to keep ahead of the release curve and get the remainder of the Indexes reviewed before those Codex releases.

So I embark on a new challenge. I have calculated that there are roughly 148 reviews to do. I have chosen my frequency and have given myself 96 days to review them all.

Today is Day 39/96.
I have reviewed 60/148.

Time elapsed: 40.62%
Review Completion: 40.54%
Basically on par!

Hobby Fund - Working myself into the clear

With my hobby posts, I generate a hobby fund. 50% of the income goes into the fund. At the moment I put all my HBD earned from Warhammer posts into my alt account @zakl.hobbyfund.

I am collecting funds in the following ways:

• Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
• Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
• Selling some of the collection to friends.

At the current count I am paying off some hobby debts. I still have $226 to pay off!

Chaos Daemons, Syll’Esske

10th Edition Index

So.... I knew nothing about this character... this is new lore for me... heretical lore t... be would not have usually involved myself with... because it is Chaos...

Syll is the name of the 'lady' on top... a Herald of Slaanesh. The guy she is riding.... I mean... the figure that she is standing on is the Daemon Mondarch Esske. He is like a Daemon Prince.

Together they are 1 model that is 120pts... and you have to kill them twice to make it stick!

Assualt (This weapon can be fired while this unit has Advanced)

Cacophonic Choir - witchfire

12" Range, D6 Shots, Hitting on Auto, S6, AP-1 and 1 Damage each.
Psychic (This weapon has the Psychic keyword.)
Torrent. (This weapon hits automatically, just roll to wound)
Ignores Cover (The enemy does not get the benefit of cover against this attack)
Devastating Wounds 9 Rolls of 6 to Wound cause Mortal Wounds)

Cacophonic Choir - focussed witchfire

12" Range, 2D6 Shots, Hitting on Auto, S6, AP-1 and 1 Damage each.
Psychic (This weapon has the Psychic keyword.)
Torrent. (This weapon hits automatically, just roll to wound)
Ignores Cover (The enemy does not get the benefit of cover against this attack)
Devastating Wounds 9 Rolls of 6 to Wound cause Mortal Wounds)
Hazardous (After shooting with this weapon, roll a dice and on a 1 this model suffers 3 Mortal Wounds)

Melee Weapons

Axe of Dominion

6 Attacks, Hitting on 3+, S7, AP-2 and 3 Damage each.

Scourging whip

6 Attacks, Hitting on 2+, S4, AP-1 and 1 Damage each.
Extra Attacks (This attack can be made in addition to other attacks this model makes)

Abilities

Deep Strike - If this unit arrives on the Battlefield from Reserves, it can be set up anywhere on the battlefield more than 9" from enemy models.

Delightful Agonies

The first time this model is destroyed, roll a dice and on a 2+ set this model back up on the battfield as close as possible to where it died but outside Engagement range of enemy units with its full wounds remaining.

Prince of Slaanesh

While this model is leading a unit, each time a model makes an melee attack, a roll of 5+ causes Critical Wounds.

Thoughts

Syll'Esske can lead a unit of Daemonettes, which have Devastating Wounds, that procs on 5+ in Syll'Esske's unit. This makes it deadly. Not to mention that the profile and the ranged and the melee profile of this model is good.

I would be careful around this one!
