Hello everyone! Zak Ludick here from Cape Town, South Africa and this is a Warhammer 40k - Datasheet Review post!
What is it all about? It is not there to just give a stat. It is there to give MY review of the unit in the game of Warhammer 40,000
The last of the Indexes! A new challenge!
Right, I am finally ahead and by my best estimations as I explained in this Post, I should be able to keep ahead of the release curve and get the remainder of the Indexes reviewed before those Codex releases.
So I embark on a new challenge. I have calculated that there are roughly 148 reviews to do. I have chosen my frequency and have given myself 96 days to review them all.
Today is Day 37/96.
I have reviewed 58/148.
Time elapsed: 38.54%
Review Completion: 39.18%
Slightly ahead.
Hobby Fund - Working myself into the clear
With my hobby posts, I generate a hobby fund. 50% of the income goes into the fund. At the moment I put all my HBD earned from Warhammer posts into my alt account @zakl.hobbyfund.
I am collecting funds in the following ways:
- Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
- Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
- Selling some of the collection to friends.
At the current count I am paying off some hobby debts. I still have $226 to pay off!
Every bit counts!
Back to the review!
Chaos Daemons, Soulgrinder
10th Edition Index
Vehicle, Walker and Daemon, this model has a lot of keywords and though this gives it access to some stratagems, it also widens the number of anti-X weapons that can hurt it.
However, this model comes with a great amount of melee threat while also giving the Daemon Army some shooting backup, something that they do not usually have much shooting attacks.
You can choose the patronage of one of the Great 4 Chaos Gods which will give the Soulgrinder an extra shooting attack appropriate to the God.
These machine Daemons are 180pts. Let's check their stats!

Deadly Demise D3 - When this model is destroyed, roll a dice and on a 6 the model explodes dealing D3 Mortal Wounds to each unit within 6"
Scuttling Walker
When making a Normal or Advance move, this model can move over friendly Monsters and/or vehicles and terrain features that are 4" or less in height as though they were not there.
Thoughts
You wouldthere this model with your army should it have a theme based on a Chaos God... but in a combined Daemon force... you would have choices and I thing that it is good to have options based on what your army needs to most and how it all fits in together.
Overall I think this is a good allrounder and very much worth its points.
That makes 45 Chaos Daemon Datasheets Reviewed, putting them on 90
% Completed! The total of the remaining Index reviews is now 88.
Thank you for reading!
