The 40k Equivalent to Asteroids!

Hello everyone! Zak Ludick here from Cape Town, South Africa and this is a Warhammer 40k - Datasheet Review post!
What is it all about? It is not there to just give a stat. It is there to give MY review of the unit in the game of Warhammer 40,000
The last of the Indexes! A new challenge!
Right, I am finally ahead and by my best estimations as I explained in this Post, I should be able to keep ahead of the release curve and get the remainder of the Indexes reviewed before those Codex releases.
So I embark on a new challenge. I have calculated that there are roughly 148 reviews to do. I have chosen my frequency and have given myself 96 days to review them all.
I took a long pause... because I got sick... and then got sick with a second virus... and now just recovering from a third infection which was bacterial... this is what happens when you have three kids in three schools! You get ALL the bugs!
So I count TODAY as the next day in the challenge! But I am running out of time too... and I desperately need to rebuild my HP and make more HBD... so I might post like I beast! Hopefully I can!
Today is Day 29/96.
I have reviewed 43/148.
Time elapsed: 30.20%
Review Completion: 29.05%
1% behind! Time to catch up!
Hobby Fund - Working myself into the clear
With my hobby posts, I generate a hobby fund. 50% of the income goes into the fund. At the moment I put all my HBD earned from Warhammer posts into my alt account @zakl.hobbyfund.
I am collecting funds in the following ways:
- Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
- Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
- Selling some of the collection to friends.
At the current count I am paying off some hobby debts. I still have $226 to pay off!
Every bit counts!
Back to the review!
Chaos Daemons, Pink Horrors
10th Edition Index
You get 10 Pink Horrors for 140pts and they are Battleline... so you MAY have up to 6 units of them in an army... for 840pts... might actually really suck!
Their main gimmick is that when you kill a Pink Horror... it becomes TWO Blue Horrors... we reviewed Blue Horrors already... when Blue Horrors die, they become Brimstone Horrors... and THEN when you kill the Brimstone Horror, they are finally dead.
So 10 Pink, become 20 Blue, become 20 Brimstone, then dead.
Let's see what it does!
Stats
Movement 6"
Toughness 3
Save 7+/4++(armor/invul/Feel No Pain)
Wounds 1
Ld 7+ (Blue and Brimstone are 8+)
OC 2 (Blue and Brimstone are OC 1)
Weapons
Pink Horrors are equipped with: Coruscating Pink Flames; pink claws.
Blue Horrors added to this unit using the Split ability are equipped with: Coruscating Blue Flames; blue claws.
Brimstone Horrors added to this unit using the Split ability are equipped with: Coruscating Yellow Flames; yellow claws.
You can get all the rules for Blue Horrors here!
Ranged Weapons
Coruscating Pink Flames
18" Range, 2 Shots, Hitting on 3+, S4, AP-1 and 1 Damage each.
Psychic (This weapon has the psychic keyword)
Pistol (This weapon can be fired while in Engagement Range)
Melee Weapons
Pink claws
1 Attack, Hitting on 4+, S3, AP0 and 1 Damage each.
Abilities
Deep Strike - If this unit arrives on the Battlefield from Reserves, it can be set up anywhere on the battlefield more than 9" from enemy models.
Split
When a model in this unit is destroyed, as long as there are still models in the unit, roll a dice for each model destroyed. On a 4+, Pink Horrors are replaced by 2x Blue Horrors, If it was a Blue Horror, it is replaced by a Brimstone Horror.
Thoughts
If you do not hit the Pink Horrors with a massive amount of attacks, then they keep coming back. I did some rolls and the chances of them remaining a large unit makes it very difficult to remove! Sort of like a stain.
Their attacks are not super powerful, and they get weaker as you bump them down to lower levels but they are a tar-pit unit and they can hide some leaders that can be problematic!
Being a Battleline unit, I think that Tzeentch Daemon lists would benefit from using at least one or two of these units.
Their weakness is Melee! But they do have Pistols!
That makes 30 Chaos Daemon Datasheets Reviewed putting them on 60% Completed! The total of the remaining Index reviews is now 103.
Thank you for reading!
