Warhammer 40k - Review Library 394 - Chaos Daemons, Keeper of Secrets

The Keeper of Victoria's Secrets

Hello everyone! Zak Ludick here from Cape Town, South Africa and this is a Warhammer 40k - Datasheet Review post!

What is it all about? It is not there to just give a stat. It is there to give MY review of the unit in the game of Warhammer 40,000

The last of the Indexes! A new challenge!

Right, I am finally ahead and by my best estimations as I explained in this Post, I should be able to keep ahead of the release curve and get the remainder of the Indexes reviewed before those Codex releases.

So I embark on a new challenge. I have calculated that there are roughly 148 reviews to do. I have chosen my frequency and have given myself 96 days to review them all. That means that I am aiming at Day 96 being the 21st of July 2025!

Today is Day 28/96.
I have reviewed 41/148.

Time elapsed: 29.16%
Review Completion: 27.70%
Oof! This is not good!

Hobby Fund - Working myself into the clear

With my hobby posts, I generate a hobby fund. 50% of the income goes into the fund. At the moment I put all my HBD earned from Warhammer posts into my alt account @zakl.hobbyfund.

I am collecting funds in the following ways:

  • Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
  • Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
  • Selling some of the collection to friends.

At the current count I am paying off some hobby debts. I still have $226 to pay off!

Every bit counts!

Back to the review!

Mesmerising Form

When an attack targets this model, subtract 1 from the Hit roll.

Daemon Lord of Slaanesh

Slaanesh Daemon units within 6" of this model add 1 to the Armour Penetration of their melee attacks.

Wargear Abilities

Shining Aegis

This model has a 3+ save.

Thoughts

So there are 3 kinds of Keeper based on the three options:

The Aegis gives armor but only a 3+, if you get hit by AP -1 or better then you use the 4+ invul anyway.
The Whip gives you an additional Ranged weapon. Its not bad and you can use it while Advancing.
The Knife. This model then has attacks, extra attacks and MORE extra attacks.

I feel like the melee focus Keeper wound be intensely powerful. But yeah the whip one is pretty good and the 3+ save is OK but only when facing AP 0 attacks.

That makes 29 Chaos Daemon Datasheets Reviewed putting them on 58% Completed! The total of the remaining Index reviews is now 104.

Thank you for reading!

Great boost for melee units plus the ability that makes you miss more shots would make this model something great to field.
