Hello everyone! Zak Ludick here from Cape Town, South Africa and this is a Warhammer 40k - Datasheet Review post!

What is it all about? It is not there to just give a stat. It is there to give MY review of the unit in the game of Warhammer 40,000

The last of the Indexes! A new challenge!

Right, I am finally ahead and by my best estimations as I explained in this Post, I should be able to keep ahead of the release curve and get the remainder of the Indexes reviewed before those Codex releases.

So I embark on a new challenge. I have calculated that there are roughly 148 reviews to do. I have chosen my frequency and have given myself 96 days to review them all. That means that I am aiming at Day 96 being the 21st of July 2025!

I have reviewed 27/148.

Hobby Fund - Working myself into the clear

With my hobby posts, I generate a hobby fund. 50% of the income goes into the fund. At the moment I put all my HBD earned from Warhammer posts into my alt account @zakl.hobbyfund.

I am collecting funds in the following ways:

Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
Selling some of the collection to friends.

At the current count I am paying off some hobby debts. I still have $226 to pay off!

Chaos Daemons, Daemon Prince of Chaos with Wings

10th Edition Index

Same as the counterpart on foot, this one can be dedicated to each of the major Gods. While there was a place for each amongst different builds on foot, I feel that the rules for the flying one will lean towards close combat and thus Khorne and Slaanesh would probably be the way to go.

When you select this unit, he will have to pick his patron deity.

This model is 180pts. Cheaper than the walking one!

Weapons

Standard weapons: Infernal Cannon, Hellforged Weapons

Daemonic Allegiance

When you pick this unit, you must select one of the four Greater Chaos Gods as its patron. When it does, it gains the corresponding buff!

Khorne: Add 2 to Strength of this model's Hellforged Weapons
Tzeetch: Add 3 to the Attacks of this model's Infernal Cannon
Nurgle: Add 1 to this model's Toughness
Slaanesh: Add 2" to this model's Movement.

Ranged Weapons

Infernal Cannon

24" Range, 3 Shots, Hitting on 2+, S5, AP-1 and 2 Damage each.

Melee Weapons

Hellforged Weapons - Strike

6 Attacks, Hitting on 2+, S8, AP-2 and 3 Damage each.

Hellforged Weapons - Sweep

14 Attacks, Hitting on 2+, S6, AP0 and 1 Damage each.

Abilities

Deep Strike - If this unit arrives on the Battlefield from Reserves, it can be set up anywhere on the battlefield more than 9" from enemy models.

Harbinger of Death

Each time this model fights, select one of the following abilities that its Hellforged Weapons gains until the end of the phase:

Lethal Hits (Auto-wound on a Hit roll of 6)
Sustained Hits 1 (Extra attacks are generated on a Hit roll of 6)
Precision (You can target a character in a unit, ignoring a Bodyguard)

Malefix Destruction

Once per battle, at the start of the Fight Phase this model can use this ability. Until the end of the phase add 3 Attacks to its Hellforged Weapons.

Thoughts

Like I said. A Khorne heavy hitter or a Slaanesh 14" flyer would probably be best here. Even the Nurgle one is OK with +1T but I would not expect to see the Tzeetch one.

This model can go Character assassinating or hunt and Kill big things.

+3 attacks once per game for a 9x attack Strike with a Khorne S10 would be the deal!

Or a 17 attack Sweep at S8.

Plus they are so cheap I know they will make @nicolaasmuller poop pellets! haha!

That makes 15 Chaos Daemon Datasheets Reviewed putting them on 30% Completed! The total of the remaining Index reviews is now 118.
