Hello everyone! Zak Ludick here from Cape Town, South Africa and this is a Warhammer 40k - Datasheet Review post!

What is it all about? It is not there to just give a stat. It is there to give MY review of the unit in the game of Warhammer 40,000

The last of the Indexes! A new challenge!

Right, I am finally ahead and by my best estimations as I explained in this Post, I should be able to keep ahead of the release curve and get the remainder of the Indexes reviewed before those Codex releases.

So I embark on a new challenge. I have calculated that there are roughly 148 reviews to do. I have chosen my frequency and have given myself 96 days to review them all. That means that I am aiming at Day 96 being the 21st of July 2025!

Today is Day 14/96.
I have reviewed 22/148.

Hobby Fund - Working myself into the clear

With my hobby posts, I generate a hobby fund. 50% of the income goes into the fund. At the moment I put all my HBD earned from Warhammer posts into my alt account @zakl.hobbyfund.

I am collecting funds in the following ways:

• Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
• Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
• Selling some of the collection to friends.

At the current count I am paying off some hobby debts. I still have $226 to pay off!

Chaos Daemons, Blue Horrors

10th Edition Index

Blue Horrors are the Battleline Daemon unit for Tzeetch, the God of Change, Mutation and Magic. These little guys have a good Invul save and attack and split into two Brimstone Horrors when slain!

They are 125pts for 10 Blue Horrors

Let's check their stats and abilities!

Weapons

Standard weapons for Blue Horror: Coruscating Blue Flames, Blue Claws
Brimstone Horrors: Coruscating Yellow Flames, Yellow Claws.

Ranged Weapons

Coruscating Blue Flames

18" Range, 2 Shots, Hitting on 4+, S3, AP-1 and 1 Damage each.
Psychic (This weapon has the Psychic keyword)
Pistol (This weapon can be shot while the bearer's unit is within engagement range of the enemy.)

Coruscating Yellow Flames

18" Range, 2 Shots, Hitting on 5+, S2, AP-1 and 1 Damage each.
Psychic (This weapon has the Psychic keyword)
Pistol (This weapon can be shot while the bearer's unit is within engagement range of the enemy.)

Melee Weapons

Blue Claws

1 Attack, Hitting on 5+, S3, AP0 and 1 Damage each.

Yellow Claws

2 Attacks, Hitting on 5+, S2 AP0 and 1 Damage each.

Abilities

Deep Strike - If this unit arrives on the Battlefield from Reserves, it can be set up anywhere on the battlefield more than 9" from enemy models.
Infiltrators - This unit may be set up in No-Man's Land as long as they stay more than 9" away from the enemy Deployment Zone.

Split

Each time a Blue Horror Model is destroyed, roll a D6, on a 4+ add 1x Brimstone Horror is created and add that unit to the unit.

Sullen Malevolence (Aura)

Enemies within 6" of this unit, where the unit and this unit still contains Blue Horrors, the enemy is -1 Leadership.

Exploding Horrors

When this unit makes an attack, you can choose a number of Brimstone Horrors. Roll a D6 for each model. On a 4+ the Brimstone Horror is destroyed and the target enemy unit suffers 1 Mortal Wound.

Thoughts

I think these guys have pretty meh shooting and even worse melee.

They split and they blow up. That part is cool.

At this point I do not know if they are worth the points!

That makes 9 Chaos Daemon Datasheets Reviewed putting them on 18% Completed! The total of the remaining Index reviews is now 124.
