Hello everyone! Zak Ludick here from Cape Town, South Africa and this is a Warhammer 40k - The Great Unit Review Wheel! post!
Now known as the Unit Review Library! Here is the current Library Link post!
What is it all about? It is not there to just give a stat. It is there to give MY review of the unit!
Space Wolves incoming!
As explained in This post about new reveals at Adepticon the Space Wolves are suddenly being launched and dropped on our heads suddenly!
Thus my time for reviewing their Datasheets is running out. I have 34 Reviews to do, I am trying to maintain a fast pace so I will give myself 17 days including today to complete all of these. That means that the last day of this personal challenge will be the 15th of April 2025!
Today is Day 6/17.
I have reviewed 14/34.
Time elapsed: 35.29%
Review Completion: 41.17%
Two ahead!
Beyond them looms another 85 reviews of the Coming soon section! I better get cracking!
Hobby Fund - Working myself into the clear
With my hobby posts, I generate a hobby fund. 50% of the income goes into the fund. At the moment I put all my HBD earned from Warhammer posts into my alt account @zakl.hobbyfund.
I am collecting funds in the following ways:
- Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
- Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
- Selling some of the collection to friends.
At the current count I am paying off some hobby debts. I still have $264 to pay off!
Every bit counts!
Back to the review.
The whole project has become quite the Challenge! With so many units to review in the game the consensus in the hobby community is that I will not have enough time to review all of the Datasheets before the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 came out.
I should have started when 10th edition launched!
673 days since the start of 10th Edition.
This is Review #338, I am 335 reviews behind! (Lowest I have been is 314 behind)
Space Wolves, Murderfang
10th Edition Index
A force of untamed destruction, the Murderfang is kept in the vaults of the fallen heroes and unleashed when the Space Wolves need to tear the enemy a new one!
A Wulfen Dreadnought Character with massive lightning claws that can really deal massive amounts of damage to just about anything!
The Murderfang is 170pts and you can buy the kit that makes him for $62.50
Let's check his stats and abilities!

Abilities
Deadly Demise 1 (When this model is destroyed, roll a dice, on a 1 it deals 1 Mortal Wound to every unit within 6" of it.
Murder-maker
Each time an enemy unit targels this model, after that unit has finished making those attacks, this model can either shoot as though it were your shooting phase or fight as though it were the Fight phase!
Thoughts
Shoot at him, he shoots back, or at whomever. Fight him, he fights back.
He can charge, hit you, you survive and hit him back, he survives and he hits again!
Or, because he is a vehicle, he can be in engagement with enemies and you can shoot him, but then he can activate and hit them before the fighting phase begins!
I can't wait to try this guy out on the battlefield!
That makes 17 Space Wolves Datasheets Reviewed putting them on 48.57% Completed. The total Completed is 36.88% Complete! Can I review them all?!
Thank you for reading!

Are you SURE the Space Wolves haven't fallen to Chaos? Because he sounds Khorne A. F.
Space Wolves have werewolves ok! Hehe.
Turns out that the Canis Helix imparts to them an inner feral wolf spirit that they need to battle all the time to remain sane. Space Wolf aspirants who fail the trail of the Wulfen roam the continent of Asaheim as another danger on a dangerous planet.
Meanwhile, this is the thing that actually makes Space Wolves unusually difficult to corrupt. When those whispers of Chaos try to enter their minds, they have to contend with the wolf spirit as well as the will of an Astartes who conquered that spirit.
