Space Wolves incoming!

As explained in This post about new reveals at Adepticon the Space Wolves are suddenly being launched and dropped on our heads suddenly!

Thus my time for reviewing their Datasheets is running out. I have 34 Reviews to do, I am trying to maintain a fast pace so I will give myself 17 days including today to complete all of these. That means that the last day of this personal challenge will be the 15th of April 2025!

Today is Day 5/17.
I have reviewed 10/34.

On par and nearly 1/3rd of the way there!

Beyond them looms another 85 reviews of the Coming soon section! I better get cracking!

Hobby Fund - Working myself into the clear

With my hobby posts, I generate a hobby fund. 50% of the income goes into the fund. At the moment I put all my HBD earned from Warhammer posts into my alt account @zakl.hobbyfund.

I am collecting funds in the following ways:

• Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
• Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
• Selling some of the collection to friends.

At the current count I am paying off some hobby debts. I still have $264 to pay off!

The whole project has become quite the Challenge! With so many units to review in the game the consensus in the hobby community is that I will not have enough time to review all of the Datasheets before the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 came out.

I should have started when 10th edition launched!
672 days since the start of 10th Edition.
This is Review #334, I am 338 reviews behind! (Lowest I have been is 314 behind)

Space Wolves, Logan Grimnar

The Old Wolf. Fangfather. High King of Fenris.

Logan Grimnar is the Chapter Master, which is the title of Great Wolf in the traditions of the Space Wolves. This title is also seen as a custodian post of a Son of Russ who leads in place of the Primarch Leman Russ.

Bjorn the Fell Handed was the first Great Wolf and Logan Grimnar is over 700 years old. I wonder how many Great Wolves have there been between the two of them?

Logan costs 115pts to field like this in his terminator armor. There is another mode and model for him, but you have to choose which of the two you will field at one time.

The model above is in my collection, but you cannot buy him anymore like that. They usually use his other model which I will show in the next post!

Weapons

Ranged Weapons

Storm Bolter

24" Range, 2 Shots, Hitting on 2+, S4, AP0 and 1 Damage each.
Rapid Fire 2 (Gain 2 additional shots at half range of 12"

Melee Weapons

The Axe of Morkai - one handed (sweep)

10 Attacks, Hitting on 2+, S6, AP-2 and 1 Damage each.

The Axe of Morkai - two handed (strike)

6 Attacks, Hitting on 2+, S8, AP-2 and 3 Damage each.

Abilities

The Great Wolf

Each time this model destroys an enemy unit, gain 1CP.

High King of Fenris

Once per game, in the Charge Phase, this model can use this ability. When he does all friendly Adeptus Astartes models in your army can re-roll Charge rolls and re-roll to Hit in melee.

Thoughts

Logan Grinmar is powerful and has a choice between 10 horder-killing attacks or 6 Space Marine/Terminator killing attacks.
His CP ability is OK, but there are at least 2 other Chapter Masters that give their army CP for free at the start of their Command Phase at zero effort or risk so I feel it would be far better if he had the same.

The High King ability is awesome and good for a Terminator Assault turn, possibly surprising the enemy with multiple successful 9" charges!

That makes 13 Space Wolves Datasheets Reviewed putting them on 37.14% Completed. The total Completed is 36.46% Complete! Can I review them all?!
