Space Wolves incoming!

As explained in This post about new reveals at Adepticon the Space Wolves are suddenly being launched and dropped on our heads suddenly!

Thus my time for reviewing their Datasheets is running out. I have 34 Reviews to do, I am trying to maintain a fast pace so I will give myself 17 days including today to complete all of these. That means that the last day of this personal challenge will be the 15th of April 2025!

Hobby Fund - Working myself into the clear

With my hobby posts, I generate a hobby fund. 50% of the income goes into the fund. At the moment I put all my HBD earned from Warhammer posts into my alt account @zakl.hobbyfund.

I am collecting funds in the following ways:

Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
Selling some of the collection to friends.

At the current count I am paying off some hobby debts. I still have $264 to pay off!

The whole project has become quite the Challenge! With so many units to review in the game the consensus in the hobby community is that I will not have enough time to review all of the Datasheets before the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 came out.

I should have started when 10th edition launched!
670 days since the start of 10th Edition.

Space Wolves, Hounds of Morkai

The Hounds of Morkai are a Specialist Reiver unit with the ability to assassinate enemy Characters, especially those that are Psykers!

I have the old Killteam box of these guys... I should really get to painting them!

A 5 man unit costs 80pts and a 10 man unit is 160pts.

A box of 5 models for these guys costs $58.

Let's check their stats and abilities!

Weapons

Ranged Weapons

Morkai Bolt Pistol

12" Range, 1 Shot, Hitting on 3+, S4, AP-1 and 1 Damage each.
Pistol (This weapon can be fired while in melee)
Precision (This weapon's attacks can be allocated directly to Character unit, regardless of Bodyguard units)
Anti-Psyker 4+ (Causes critical wounds against Psyker units on a 4+ regardless of toughness.
Devastating Wounds. (When a Critical Wound is scored, usually by rolling a 6 to Wound, the Damage dealt by this weapon becomes Mortal Wounds!)

Melee Weapons

Morkai Combat Knife

4 Attacks, Hitting on 3+, S4, AP0 and 1 Damage each.
Precision (This weapon's attacks can be allocated directly to Character unit, regardless of Bodyguard units)
Anti-Psyker 4+ (Causes critical wounds against Psyker units on a 4+ regardless of toughness.
Devastating Wounds. (When a Critical Wound is scored, usually by rolling a 6 to Wound, the Damage dealt by this weapon becomes Mortal Wounds!)

Abilities

Scouts 6". Before the 1st turn starts, this unit can move 6".

Morkai's Howl

During your Shooting phase you can select one enemy within 12" (Or 18" if the squad is led by a Lieutenant in reiver armour.)

That unit must take a Battleshock test with a -1 Modifier to the roll.

If the test is failed, in additon to being Battle-Shocked, that unit is Stunned. While Stunned, when a model in that unit make a psychic attack, subtract 1 from the To Hit roll.

Thoughts

There are actually MANY units in the game that are Psykers. I would really like to have an excuse field these guys in a battle!

That makes 10 Space Wolves Datasheets Reviewed putting them on 28.57% Completed. The total Completed is 36.13% Complete! Can I review them all?!
