Space Wolves incoming!

As explained in This post about new reveals at Adepticon the Space Wolves are suddenly being launched and dropped on our heads suddenly!

Thus my time for reviewing their Datasheets is running out. I have 34 Reviews to do, I am trying to maintain a fast pace so I will give myself 17 days including today to complete all of these. That means that the last day of this personal challenge will be the 15th of April 2025!

Hobby Fund - Working myself into the clear

With my hobby posts, I generate a hobby fund. 50% of the income goes into the fund. At the moment I put all my HBD earned from Warhammer posts into my alt account @zakl.hobbyfund.

I am collecting funds in the following ways:

• Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
• Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
• Selling some of the collection to friends.

At the current count I am paying off some hobby debts. I still have $264 to pay off!

The whole project has become quite the Challenge! With so many units to review in the game the consensus in the hobby community is that I will not have enough time to review all of the Datasheets before the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 came out.

I should have started when 10th edition launched!
669 days since the start of 10th Edition.
This is Review #327, I am 342 reviews behind! (Lowest I have been is 314 behind)

Space Wolves, Canis Wolfborn

10th Edition Index

Canis Wolfborn... literally Raised by Wolves. He is the only Space Wolf Character that can lead Fenrisian wolves, though, it would probably be better if he led Thunderwolf Cavalry.

He is an Epic Hero, so you can only field 1x like Bjorn.

He is 75pts and the model is $60.

Weapons

Ranged Weapons

Bolt Pistol

12" Range, 1 Shot, Hitting on 5+, S4, AP0 and 1 Damage each.
Pistol (This weapon can be fired while in melee)

Melee Weapons

Wolf Claws

8 Attacks, Hitting on 2+, S5, AP-2 and 1 Damage each.
Twin-linked (This model can re-roll Wound rolls with this weapon)

Crushing Teeth and Claws

3 Attacks, Hitting on 4+, S5, AP-1 and 1 Damage each.
Extra Attacks (These attacks can be made in addition to the other attacks this model makes)

Abilities

Born of Wolves

While leading a unit, melee weapons in the unit have Sustained Hits 1. So 6's to Hit cause additional hits!

Alpha Predator

Each time this model ends a charge more, select one enemy unit and roll a D6. On 2-3 that unit suffers D3 Mortal Wounds, on 4-5 the unit suffers 3 Mortal Wounds. On a 6 that unit suffers D3+3 Mortal wounds!

Thoughts

Canis and his unit turns them into a Horde melee blender!

It is also worthwhile to mention that Thunderwolves give him +1 Damage on the charge. So Dam 2 Wolf Claws would be great!

The only advantage of putting him with Fenrisian Wolves is the ability to Advance and Charge... which is not needed in some Space Wolf armies, because they get that anyway!

I have this model, still need to paint him!.

That makes 6 Space Wolves Datasheets Reviewed putting them on 17.14% Completed. The total Completed is 35.69% Complete! Can I review them all?!
