Fund Raiser - Helping a friend with funding for a Wedding!
This post is part of the current Fund Raiser where a friend has given me an offer to buy a collection of Warhammer models, the money will go to putting down deposits for his wedding arrangements.
After that I have two other hobby debts to sort out.

Also this has become quite the Challenge! With so many units to review in the game the consensus in the hobby community is that I will not have enough time to review all of the Datasheets before the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 came out.
I should have started when 10th edition launched!
609 days since the start of 10th Edition.

Astra Militarum, Munitorum Servitors

So if you ever wanted to see something really grimdark in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, it is the Servitors.
Long before the Horus Heresy and the Great Crusade there was a period of human history called the Dark Age of Technology and in that time, mankind was fighting a battle against the Iron Men, a faction of AI mankind had made themselves which went rogue and tried to exterminate us as a species.
Sort of like the Terminator movies.
Since then, it has been illegal and even heresy to create anything AI. Instead when something needs to be automated, humanity employs lobotomized cyborgs called servitors.
Most servitors are made from criminals, heretics and all manner of human life that would usually be put to death and are instead put to work.
Once in a while... the Adeptus Mechanicus' need for new servitors outweighs the moral compass and they just abduct people who will not be missed.
Lobotomy, castration, implantation of mechanical devices... all without anesthetics, it's a pretty horrible concept.
Astartes Servitors have been removed from the new 10th Edition Codex and similarly, the Astra Militarum Servitors are not going to appear in the new Astra Militarum Codex.
However, these beings are not being removed from the universe, as they are seen literally everywhere.
It costs 35pts to field a squad of 4 of them. They are no longer for sale... I have around 12 of them in my collection. 8 of them painted up by me!

Armed with Servitor's Servo Arms up to two Servitors can be exchange the servo arm with one of the following:

Multi-Melta
Ranged Weapons

36" Range, 3 Shots, Hitting on 6+, S5, AP-1 and 2 Damage each.
Heavy (When remaining stationery, gain +1 to Hit)
Sustained hits 1 (When rolling to Hit, 6's cause an additional hit)
Multi Melta
18" Range, 2 Shots, Hitting on 6+, S9, AP-4 and D6 Damage each.
Heavy (When remaining stationery, gain +1 to Hit)
Melta 2 (When firing at a target within half range of 9" add 2 to the damage)
Plasma Cannon - Standard
36" Range, D3 Shots, Hitting on 6+, S7, AP-2 and 1 Damage each.
Heavy (When remaining stationery, gain +1 to Hit)
Blast (For every 5 models in the target unit, gain +1 to Hit)
Plasma Cannon - Overcharged firing option
36" Range, D3 Shots, Hitting on 6+, S8, AP-3 and 2 Damage each.
Heavy (When remaining stationery, gain +1 to Hit)
Blast (For every 5 models in the target unit, gain +1 to Hit)
Hazardous (This weapon can explode dealing 3 mortal damage to the wielder)

Servitor's Servo-arm
1 Attack, Hitting on 5+, S6, AP-2 and 3 Damage each.
Abilities
Minlock
While a Tech-Priest Enginseer model is leading this unit, improve Ballistic Skill and Weapon Skill of their weapons by 1.
Servitor Retinue
At the start of the battle, the servitors can join a unit that is being led by a Tech-Priest Enginseer. They then add to the total number of the bodyguard unit.
Thoughts
This was a cool way of adding 2x Heavy Bolters to a squad that was going to camp next to a vehicle the Tech-Priest was going to buff. Or 2x Additional Plasma Cannons. Better if they remain stationary.
Its all moot now, unless you play Legends!
That makes 50 Astra Militarum Datasheets Reviewed putting them on 81.96% Completed. The total Completed is 25.98% Complete! Can I review them all?!
