Hello everyone! Zak here from Cape Town, South Africa and this is a game of Warhammer 40,000 at a grand scale!

Now it was time for Turn 2 and while there were some pot-shots made in Turn 1 (by me mostly), the 2nd turn is where real damage can be dealt to one another's armies!

My opponents had first turn and so they go first on Turn 2 as well.

They are currently holding 2x of the Objectives on the field and thus score 2 Victory Points for the scenario.

In this turn, they begin scoring their first points for destroying enemy units too!

The Combined Forces sweep up the board in their droves, Space Marines tanks supported by Tau tank-killers. But more was yet to come!

Masses of infantry pour across the landscape, squad types of every imaginable type are represented.

At the same time, Owen's Stormhawk makes it up the side of the board and spies out my Corvus Blackstar flyer!

There is quite a bit of time to wait while the opponents do their movements. This is actually a great time to chill or go to the bathroom.

Remember to take a lot of pictures! Even pictures of people taking pictures of people taking pictures!

The enemy makes their shots and I think with the Stormhawk alone they bring down my Corvus Blackstar!

But they were not done! With combined firepower, they deal so much damage that the usually invincible Bjorn the Fell-Handed is also knocked out for the rest of the game! (Because he never truly dies does he?

Units Destoryed:
Corus Blackstar - 180pts
Bjorn the Fell Handed - 180pts
Total: 360pts
Victory Points: 3VP + 2VP for Objectives.
5 VP total for the opponents!

Zak's turn

I hold 3 Objectives and score 3VP

It is my turn now and I roll forward. One crazy moment that happens is that the opponent's Stormhawk does an Overwatch, which is where you spend a Command Point to allow a unit to shoot in the opponent's(my) movement of charge phases. When they do, they only hit on a roll of a 6.

And then Owen rolls a perfect 6x6 dice! This is absolutely crazy! All of the shots hit, but in the end of the day, he caused 1 Wound I think.

So I continue...

With my Corvus destroyed, the Stormraven pops across and turns around to go back to my back-field. I intend on using it as a flying taxi!

Meanwhile, Drop Pods slam down on the battlefield and disgorge troops.

Grey Knight Brother Captain also teleport forward from my back lines.

Nother Drop pod crashes down. In each Drop pod: 5 Devastator Marines with 5 Missile Launchers and 5 Intercessors to protect them.

My Vindicator takes aim at some Terminators...

Some of my other forces rumble forward to look at the Tau Crisis team, Assault Squad and Eradicators...

Units Destroyed:

Stormhawk - 155pts
Eradicators - 95pts
Crisis Suit Team - 180pts
Assault Squad with Jump Packs - 115pts
Devastator Squad - 200pts
Terminators Squad - 185pts
Total: 930pts
Victory Points: 9VP + 3VP for Objectives = 12VP

Opponents - 5VP / Zak 12VP!

I am in the lead... for now! I managed to do a lot of damage right away in the battle... but would this last?
