Trading, swapping, buying, selling - making a profit on Warhammer Model trade is possible?

I might be sad to see some of these miniatures go... but until I can add them to my Grand Imperial Army and have them complete and painted, then they are not really a part of my army but a resource that is just sitting there.
Therefore, it only seems common sense to trade and sell, so I can use that money to buy and trade again!

Sometimes what happens is that I end up with something rare... that I might already have. In that case, I can offer it to a friend that can appreciate it in their army/collection.

This is Sergeant Telion of the Ultramarines. He is in original metal cast and very rare. I am offering it to my one friend since I have another one of him.
Well... hopefully with a bit of trading and being cautious, I should be able to turn a profit and continue to grow my army!
Wish me luck!

The hoarder in me always looks at a model and thinks it could become the starting point for a new army 😁
But it's probably more sensible to trade things that are duplicates you'll never be able to use and things that won't fit into any army you're likely to build in the future. It's less about making an actual profit, and more about changing something you can't use into something you can but without spending any actual cash on it.
What happens is that 2nd hand models are cheaper than new models. That is why people buy them.
But what is even cheaper are huge army deals. I need to trade my way into having the money in the bank to allow me to buy those kits.
I lost out on buying a R3500 set for the Horus Heresy Age of Darkness box plus 3 additional Dreadnoughts and two more squads. That was a great deal!
So yeah... I shall do what I can to trade!
Thank you very much!
