The Publishing Schedule has been Decided on!

Good day everyone!

A little while ago I spoke about my intention to get published. The idea there was to haul out my "Big Guns" and finally get started with the important stuff.

I have been writing Fantasy Fiction since I was 14 years old and in the beginning I did a lot of writing and re-writing. As I was ambitious and passionate, but unskilled at my craft.

Every page written gave me new ability and usually by the time I had written 3 Chapters, the skill and voice of the first and third chapters were unreconcilably different. So then I started over.

And over and over. Very often, this would then lead me to become dispassionate about my work and I would stop for a while and then get back into it. Sometimes I would start writing something else entirely, needing the stretch my "legs" and imagination and create something new and exciting for me to focus on.

Soon enough, with my influences from Epic Fantasy Authors, the idea came into my head that these stories and concepts could all become part of one world. I could put them together into a story.

Later on I learned new skills on my to create and manage plot and pacing and things started to form into the outlines and structures of series and books.

I have even completed some of those books, but they lay now in first draft form.

This body of works is known as:

A World of Kedra

This would become my brand name for my books. Within this name, would be series of books as well as single titles.

Nations Under Siege is a bit of a master-piece of interconnecting storylines and a vast area of the world for me to realistically populate, explore and manage.

I write viewpoint writing in this series with the intention of the Character seeing and understanding what THEY can see and understand.

However, to the crafty reader, they will be able to witness through the Character's eyes things that the Character might not understand, but the Reader will!

So if I do my job right and create you a story that has a good plot and great characters, then this sort of nuance will be quite rewarding for readers. I am a World Builder and the reason I spend so much time crafting a realistic world to encapsulate my Characters is so that the information the Reader picks up in between can be appreciated and possibly even back-references possibly creating a reason to read the book again, but while looking for clues.

Clues that I planted into the story to be appreciated later but without detracting from the enjoyment of the current plot and story.

This is, of course, a grand undertaking. But I enjoy it.

The Plan

So I shall be busy with re-immersing myself into this World. I have already read a good 35 Chapters of Book 1 of Nations Under Siege and I am enjoying it so much! I am actually amazed. I sort of wished I had done this earlier.

Meanwhile I shall work on the first Publishing project, a no less immersive and worthy story, that of Mortis Custos, the first book of the Maledictus Terra series that I have co-authored with @lex-zaiya, right here on Hive!

I have done my research. Apparently Blog to Book is not an unknown method and there are those authors that have made a success of it.

So we intend to do the same.

My Editing/Publishing sequence is thus as follows:

1: Mortis Custos, Book 1 of Maledictus Terra

2: World of Kedra stand alone novel

3: Sanguifex, Book 2 of Maledictus Terra

This is my roadmap. Once I get the first part done, which will take us a while still to complete, then I can start working on the second and third and come up with a fourth target.

I have a lot of books waiting in the que, the Nations Under Siege series is 5 books but I want to immerse fully before I complete that story and start publishing the first book in that series.

I have a lot of work ahead of me, but I am enjoying it so much and I am looking forward to publishing these books and finally sharing my passion to the world!

Thank you for reading this post. More to follow!

Cheers!
