The Fall - Accidents happen fast

Look away now if you are squeamish about blood and injury. However, it is just a scrape on the leg.

The point of this post is that accidents can happen very quickly and very often it is NOT something that you can predict or control.

The place where this guy got injured is a location that I had walked through 20mins before, along with 2 other guys from my company alone.

Any one of us could have fallen through the hole where a loose plate had not been set in its frame properly and when this guy steppen on it, it caved in.

I had put a bandage on his wound after cleaning it and then found another scratch. Then I had to clean and bandage that scratch as well.

Then I took the guy to the Dr. so he the Doc could do the same but with a better wound cleaner and a better wound dressing. And a tetanus shot of course...

Like I said, I had not looked for something so subtle when I was on site, could have been me... luckly it was not.

Let this be a lesson to everyone that vigilance is necessary but to be ready for an accident because they can happen really quickly.
