One step forward, two steps back - Dealing with Frustations

Nearly 8,000HP, then smacked down to below Dolphin Status. Then regained Dolphin Status. Then lost Dolphin Status again!

The ups and downs of life has really gotten me in its grips.

I live in South Africa, but I am pretty sure that the challenges that I am experiencing are universal to all countries. If you are working class, then you work form money and you usually do not own very much in the way of assets.

Usually, when you have kids, it just never seems like you have ENOUGH money. So financially you are always in a position that you can slide backwards at the slightest little hiccup.

This is one of those times.

I got smacked down with the hospital visit at the start of this year. We had a big scare and it could have cost me my leg. Although Medical Aid paid for 90% of the bills, I still had to fork out something for some of the bills.

Additionally, there is the case of the extra expenditures generated around that time because of my illness. So that took money to do.

Then we had a time of chill and relaxation.

Then again, more issues, like needing new tires on the car and not having a budget with AND savings for odds and ends. Now my partner is also sitting with unplanned loss of income and unplanned expenses and thus we will work together top plug those holes.

What is this doing to my morale and my planning?

Well... it is demoralizing!

I had hoped to build up super bags of Hive so I can catch the Bull run, but due to the actions of the Orange man, this cycle seems to be either delayed or has broken the Bull's legs I am not sure.

Meanwhile I have to work with the fact that Hive tokens are worth actual money and I need actual money.

So now I have to just watch as my hard-earned tokens get sold off at whatever the going rate is, which is low and hope to stop it before it is like going back 2 years.

In the meantime, despite the ill effect this has had on my motivation and mood and the general depression of needing to handle these tough times... I need to blog and interact like a maniac!

This is going to be a tough time and I will need to push through how I feel and focus on what I need to do in order to perform.

I do think that I need to diversify a bit.

I have been posting a lot of 40k reviews, but that was part of a 40 day challenge. I am nearly done with that and then I can focus my energy into all sorts of things and benefit from that!

In the meantime I cannot say that my hobby posts have been a bad focus. I am busy paying off a debt to a friend who needs his own hobby money to buy some of the new releases of his armies that are busy coming out!

So... I need to keep my head down and head straight and try not to be discouraged too much!
