End of project scrap - the result of poor planning
Hey everyone. Zak here from Cape Town, South Africa.
This is all the scrap that is left over after our recent job on a vessel in the harbour.
There are some pieces that never got used. There are some pieces that were cut up and canabalised for flashings or blank-offs and generally just a totally wasteful experience.
Some of what is pictured is old equipment that was stripped out but you can see when something is shiny new or not.
To me this is a result of poor planning. If the stock was ordered correctly and with a purpose of getting done without constant "shopping" as I call it, then there would be less scrap or there would have been more of a plan there.

I remember when we used to hang on to all that stuff for the next job at our workshop. Does it go to a scrap yard or the dump.
