Day 12 of the Debmar Atlantic 2024 Project

Good evening everyone! 12 Days on site and I want to fire my Safety Officer on site!

The thing is... I am a Safety Officer... I can do his job but I need to be the Site Supervisor and I have a lot to do on site!

But it is not even that he is BAD at his job. The problem with this guy is his arrogance and unwarranted sense of entitlement.

For instance, he is cross that my team are not available to work the weekend because he is a Contract worker so he would get no pay for that day... but then he is taking Thursday off site because he needs to do something... so now HE is taking time for his responsibilities but criticizes others for wanting to do the same on a Saturday!

Wow!

I am seriously thinking of looking for a replacement. He was being rude to me and the guys do not like him at all.

There is always a stillness between Dayshift and Nightshift. I see some preparations being made for the Global Safety Day tomorrow. Apparently we are getting a free lunch! And like... t-shirts? We shall see!

This is where my car is parked. I tried to get as close to the end of the train carts so I don't double my walking distance to my car. Even so, my car is more than 1km away from my compound.

Soon there will be some really beautiful sunsets here!
