Check for Sprinkler heads before dragging your 12ft ladder around!

So this is about 2/3 of the way cleaning up the mess left behind when a single fire sprinkler for a fire suppression system is knocked and the little glass vial breaks.

So, simply put, this was done by one of our guys. He was moving his ladder, did not see where he was going with the top of the ladder. Crack. Bang. Floor.

This proceeded to floor through the shop, past the hoarding and into the mall. It took a solid 2 hours of vacuuming with with 4 hoovers and sweeping with 6 flat smoothing tools to stop the water from going into the mall and to clean up all the massive amounts of mess everywhere.

If you have to ask, the black stuff is what lies inside the piping. Fire Hydrant water is not clean and all the dirt and rust collect at the bottom of the piping. Once it bursts it covers everything in black muck.

You can see in the below picture who it was that broke the sprinkler because he is covered in black stains.

Meh... this was a reason to be late for home.

Thanks for reading.

That's very careless, but look on the bright side, you know the fire sprinkles work perfectly fine!

Shew looks like a real pain to clean up. Hopefully a real lesson was learnt, and it won't happen again.

I hope so! By this team at least... we all got the clean-up punishment!
