40k - Painting my Dreadnought Continues!
After painting that epic Lava Axe it was time to do some more painting and detail on the rest of the Dreadnought.
Above is the trim on the shield. This is done with Weapon Bronze under, then Bright Gold and then a Strong Tone wash (Army Painter).
There is still more detail coming!
Here we can see the inside of the shield and the Heavy Flamer under that arm. Because those areas are quite exposed, I will be painting some detail into that area.
This Dreadnought also got the Yellow and Black markings on its Right Hand shoulder. This signifies the Dreadnought's rank, In my estimation this is the pack and rank that this Dreadnought had before he was mortally wounded and became a Dreadnought.
Here is the other arm with a close-up of the shoulder. There is plenty detail here that I am going to be picking out. I already started with the ribbon on his arm.
Also, you will notice the bright blue on this dread's left shoulder. This signifies that he is part of my primary Great Company - the Stormwolves!
This is my 500pts army... they are starting to really take shape and look pretty cool!
Look at this ultimate defence!
