Ijo Temple One of Indonesia's Cultural Heritage in Yogyakarta
This historical building is named Candi Ijo. It is located on a plateau on a hard limestone mountain. Far from the center of the village. This temple belongs to those who embrace Hinduism.
This temple is estimated to have been built between the 10th and 11th centuries AD during the Medang Kingdom of the Mataram period.
About four kilometers southeast of this temple there is also another temple named Candi Ratu Bako. This temple also belongs to Hindus.
