Why we can't swap Ecency points to hive coin?
Ecency is a one of the top dapp or Frontends build on hive blockchain, I personally love to use @ecency android application, I am using ecency android application from last more than 2 years even before its rebranded to ecency from esteem
Ecency is a very well developed and papular dapp, have very convenient UI with alot of function and options, we can do many activities from ecency which includes, posting long and short farm content, Managing hive, hbd and other tokens, swapping, converting tokens and many other activities
Another advantage of using ecency is we can earn ecency points on almost all activities, these points can be used for promoting post, receiving Delegation from ecency, but I am thinking about ecency points as a SMt or Layer 2 token for ecency
What is we earn ecency as a L2 token same like Leo of @leofinance then we can swap or convert ecency points or tokens to hive coin or hbd. I will be very happy to know @ecency team and developers opinion about this option, this will definitely encourage ecency users to use Ecency more frequently or actively if they know they can earn ecency token and convert it to hive coin

In a certain way, I like the fact that you can utilize them for upvotes, which is some kind of swapping them to Hive. But you need to put in some effort...
Very valuable post. However, if ecency point is being converted to Hive I believe the essence of the points will be defeated.

The thing about ecency points is that you have to grind to earn it. They motivate you to interact with the app by incentivizing your actions. And then you earn points which will allow you to grind even more (when converted to HP delegations via boost+)
In the end you will get very little value from all your actions, if returned value is in HBD.
They have a nice system with a points reward that unfortunately doesn't justify the effort it takes to earn it.
Without the original boost post, your post doesn't get seen by big curators outside of ecency. Promotions are only seen by ecency users in the feeds, and does not guarantee curator views.
well theoretically we can trade our ecency points in Hive / HBD by upvoting your post by 150 points for 1$. Theoretically you have more. If it becomes a coin and reaches the certain volume that you can trade with it, it takes time. The coin will then have a very, very, very low value.
This will be removed soon, than you will only get delegation for Ecency Points
That's stupid, then I'll never reach my goal. then only the big ones benefit, but the little ones get nothing
I don't like it too.
There have been people saying its votebuying, and some don't like it.
For me it's not votebuying because Bad content didn't get a vote.
Ecency will adjust the delegation. Currently it is much to low, my opinion.
