The 5th and last T20I Match of the Australia tour of India, 2023 was played today at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. In which India defeated Australia to win the series by 4-1.
TOSS- Australia won the toss and opted to bowl.
India Innings- India batted first and started the inning very well, Shreyas Iyer played a very brilliant half-century inning of 53 runs with the help of 2 sixes and 5 boundaries in just 37 balls, Axar Patel scored 31 runs with the help of 1 six and 2 boundaries in just 21 balls, Jitesh Sharma scored 24 runs with the help of 1 six and 3 boundaries in just 16 balls, Yashasvi Jaiswal 21 runs with the help of 2 sixes and 1 boundary in 15 balls, Ruturaj Gaikwad 10 runs in 12 balls, apart from this, Suryakumar Yadav dismissed just for 5 runs in 7 balls, Rinku Singh 6 runs in 8 balls, Ravi Bishnoi 2 runs in 2 balls, and Arshdeep Singh remains unbeaten for 2 runs in 2 balls. In this way, India scored 160 runs after losing 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs and set a target of 161 runs in front of Australia.
Australia bowlers- Ben Dwarshuis took 2 wickets just for 30 runs in his spell, Jason Behrendorff 2 wickets for 38 runs in his spell, Aaron Hardie 1 wicket just for 21 runs in his spell, Tanveer Sangha 1 wicket for 26 runs in his spell, and Nathan Ellis 1 wicket for 42 runs in his spell.
Australia Inning- Australia chasing 161 runs in the second inning could manage just 154 runs after losing 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs and lost the match by 6 runs. Australia also started the inning very well, but the ending was very poor, Ben McDermott played a very brilliant half-century inning of 54 runs with the help of 5 sixes in just 36 balls, Travis Head scored 28 runs with the help of 1 six and 5 boundaries in just 18 balls, Matthew Wade 22 runs with the help of 4 boundaries in just 15 balls, Tim David 17 runs in 17 balls, Matthew Short 16 runs in 11 balls, apart from this, Josh Philippe dismissed just for 4 runs in 4 balls, Aaron Hardie 6 runs in 10 balls, Ben Dwarshuis dismissed without scoring, Nathan Ellis remains unbeaten for 4 runs in 6 balls, and Jason Behrendorff also remains unbeaten for 2 runs in 2 balls. In this way, Australia could manage just 154 runs after losing 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs, losing the match by 6 runs, and losing the series in 4-1.
Indian bowlers- Mukesh Kumar took 3 wickets just for 32 runs in his spell, Ravi Bishnoi 2 wickets for 29 runs in his spell, Arshdeep Singh took 2 wickets for 40 runs in his spell, Axar Patel 1 wicket just for 14 runs in his spell, and Avesh Khan was wicketless for 39 runs in his spell.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH- Indian all-rounder Axar Patel was selected as the player of the match, he performed very brilliant batting as well as also in bowling, played a brilliant inning of 31 runs with the help of 1 six and 2 boundaries in just 21 balls, and took 1 wicket just for 14 runs in his spell.
