How I Met My Partner | Stories to tell the kids in the future
Have you ever asked (or would you ever ask) a guy out on a first date? Well, I did! And here's the story.
Twenty-four bottles of RedHorse Beer, that's how I met my partner. It was a random Saturday morning back in December 2019 when we had just finished our graveyard shift. Our workmates invited us for a drinking session since it was our rest day during the weekend.
We were a big group back then, all of them were work friends, and we were drinking really hard. I was already kind of tipsy at that time when one of our friends invited his friend over, who also happened to be one of our workmates but was not on the same shift as us.
He was a newbie back then, and I had already seen him once or twice. He was kind of chubby with broad shoulders and strong arms – ugh, my weaknesses. My type of guys are the ones with broad shoulders and huge arms, but not the super macho type. I prefer the chubbier version without abs, and I already thought he was cute when I first saw him. I even stalked him on social media just to check his initial whereabouts and status.
On the day of the drinking session, my drunk eyes brightened when I saw him approaching and joining our table. He sat in front of me, and I started talking to him, and out of nowhere, I blurted out these words:
"Hey, you know what? I have a crush on you."
Boom!
Everyone at the table was speechless. They weren't expecting any of it. They were shocked to hear those words come out of my mouth. He was also super shy, hahaha. I still remember the look on his face that day, although some details are a bit hazy since I was really drunk. But thanks to the 24 bottles of beer the group shared, I had the courage to confess to that guy. He walked me home after our session, and we have been inseparable since then.
We officially started dating, and now we are already in our 3rd year of a relationship.
So ladies, if you like someone, go ahead and take the courage to speak up and tell them upfront that you are interested.
Yes, Girl. Don't be afraid to be the one who makes the first move.
We will never know the answer if we don't ask. There are just two scenarios that can happen: either he reciprocates and feels the same way, or they decline you. And if it's the latter, just blame it on the alcohol the next day and pretend that you forgot what you did, hahaha. LOL Kidding aside, please drink responsibly.
We only live once, so take a chance. Who knows, you might be the next one to find their happily ever after.
xoxo

Well, that's true. We live once so we should use our time and words wisely, and I also agree that there are just two scenarios ;)
Haha, we either strike or hit the home run 😅
Have you also tried making the first move?
