I've never seen a moose[Eng-Spn]

Greetings, Hive community! It's a pleasure to participate in the daily writing exercise hosted by @mariannewest and the @daily.prompt project, and its Spanish version, Spanish Freewrite, led by @latino.romano.

I begin my post like Mrs. @sacra97 "I've never seen a moose", much less a loose moose. I wouldn't like to see them locked up; I hate cages. I love freedom and believe that all species have their own habitat.

I went to Google to find out what a moose was. In our country, I think it would be very difficult to find one.

On Google, I learned what moose look like. I also learned that they are mammals that inhabit the Nordic forests. The males have majestic antlers, while the females lack them. Their numbers have been reduced due to indiscriminate hunting; this situation is very unfortunate. I hope they can be protected.

Another interesting fact is that females choose the male with the best antlers as their mate. When the males are castrated, they exchange their antlers for other, deformed antlers that will last them a lifetime.

Another fact is that both male and female moose are the same size. They navigate by hearing and smell, as their eyesight is very poor. They are herbivores and require approximately 19.5 kilos of food a day.

What I regret most about these beautiful animals is the hunting they are subjected to by hunters, just to boast of having a moose head as a trophy on their wall. It's very sad.
