Hola hivers de esta maravillosa comunidad.

Homenajear a colegas, amigas, madres hermanas, o simplemente a una mujer de quien sabes que es una estrella a toda luz, siempre trae mucha alegría.

A mí, en lo particular me da placer. No lo hago por compromiso, ni por ser de agradar a nadie, sencillamente, lo hago porque estoy viva y me nace hacerlo.

Hoy quiero contarle sobre esta muchacha a quien conocí en el año 2000, ella presidía la Asociación Hermanos Saíz (AHS) en mi ciudad. ¿Qué es la AHS? Una organización de promoción, organización y apoyo a los jóvenes creadores del arte en Cuba.

Recuerdo que los mejores tiempos de la AHS fueron bajo la presidencia de Chachi. Las mejores actividades para niños, también para adultos. Todos los días en la Casa del Joven Creador, sede de la Asociación Hermanos Saíz había actividades.

Recuerdo por aquellos tiempos: los lunes, El noctámbulo alegre, peña de humor. Los martes Piano Bar, ya su nombre lo indica. Los miércoles, eran días para proyectar películas. Jueves tranquilo, dedicado a la trova y la poesía. Viernes, a los jóvenes raperos. Los sábados se hacía La musaraña, una revista cultural variada y los domingos estaban dedicados al rock.

Por supuesto que sábado y domingo por el día hacían actividades para los niños. Siempre con actores profesionales miembros de la AHS.

Marina Lourdes Jacobo, alias Chachi, luego de terminar su presidencia en la AHS, pasó a ser la presidenta del Centro Provincial de las Artes Escénicas. Dirigió el Centro Cultural Huellas. Años más tarde la nombraron presidenta de la Filial de la Fundación Nicolás Guillén en Las Tunas y luego presidenta de la Unión de Escritores y Artistas de Cuba (UNEAC).

Sin embargo, en todas estas etapas se ha desempeñado con el honor que merece el cargo. Actualmente se mantiene como presidenta de la Fundación Nicolás Guillén en Las Tunas, mi ciudad. Ya terminó su periodo de mandato en la UNEAC.

Chachi no solo se ha dedicado toda su vida a dirigir, cuando más joven era bailarina de la compañía Sol de América en Puerto Padre, al norte de Las Tunas, pero también es escritora.

Como poetisa ha escrito varios libros, entre ellos Con un rey ausente y El corredor de Eva, son dos libros de poesía erótica, que besan el erotismo fino, sin anunciar con una sola palabra nada que anuncie el acto de amar, es sugerencia mediante símbolos e imágenes poéticas que logra encadenar los versos y hacer entender al lector la intención de la autora.

Chachi sin dudas es también una mujer de esta generación.

Paying tribute to colleagues, friends, mothers, sisters, or simply to a woman who you know is a star in every light, always brings much joy.

Personally, it gives me pleasure. I don't do it out of obligation, or to please anyone, I simply do it because I'm alive and I feel like doing it.

Today I want to tell you about this girl whom I met in 2000, she was the president of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS) in my city. What is the AHS? An organization for the promotion, organization and support of young creators of art in Cuba.

I remember that the best times of the AHS were under the presidency of Chachi. The best activities for children, also for adults. Every day at the Casa del Joven Creador, headquarters of the Hermanos Saíz Association there were activities.

I remember from those times: on Mondays, El noctámbulo alegre, a humor club. On Tuesdays, there was the Piano Bar, as the name suggests. Wednesdays were days for showing movies. Thursdays were quiet, dedicated to trova and poetry. Fridays, to young rappers. On Saturdays, there was La musaraña, a varied cultural magazine, and Sundays were dedicated to rock.

Of course, on Saturdays and Sundays, there were activities for children. Always with professional actors who were members of the AHS.

Marina Lourdes Jacobo, alias Chachi, after finishing her presidency at the AHS, became the president of the Provincial Center for Performing Arts. She directed the Huellas Cultural Center. Years later, she was named president of the Nicolás Guillén Foundation Branch in Las Tunas and then president of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC).

However, in all these stages she has performed with the honor that the position deserves. Currently she remains the president of the Nicolás Guillén Foundation in Las Tunas, my city. Her term in office at UNEAC has already ended.

Chachi has not only dedicated her entire life to directing, when she was younger she was a dancer with the Sol de América company in Puerto Padre, north of Las Tunas, but she is also a writer.

As a poet she has written several books, including Con un rey ausencia and El pasillo de Eva, two books of erotic poetry, which kiss fine eroticism, without announcing with a single word anything that announces the act of loving, it is a suggestion through symbols and poetic images that manages to link the verses and make the reader understand the author's intention.

Chachi is undoubtedly also a woman of this generation.
