Los Tabacos de los verdaderos cubanos (Esp- Eng)

Hola amigos, un abrazo a todos.

Hace algún tiempo traté, más de una vez el tema de los habanos cubanos, en una de ellas traté específicamente el Cohíba.

Pero sucede que los Cohíbas son tabacos para personas no cubanas, y si por casualidad se lo fuma un cubano, este no reside en la isla.

Les cuento, el tabaco Cohíba, es un tabaco que se siembra, produce cosecha y tuerce en Cuba, pero es mayormente para exportación. Cuando usted ve un cubano (como nosotros decimos de a pie) fumándose un Cohíba o un Romeo y Julieta, es porque alguien se lo regaló.

Sin embargo, hoy no he venido a hablarles sobre estos codiciados habanos, necesito, y es una necesidad personal, que es posible sea eco de muchos, como yo, he venido a hablarles del tabaco para los verdaderos cubanos.

El tabaco para los cubanos que vivimos en Cuba. Es un tabaco que también se siembra en el país, en distintas regiones del país, en parcelas dedicadas especialmente para el cultivo de esta hoja tan codiciada, no solo por los cubanos, sino por todo el mundo.

La plantación es sembrada por manos cubanas, que van al surco cada día y lo cuidan para que sean las mejores plantas, las mejores hojas, siempre cuidando que el tabaco que se siembra en su región sea la mejor cosecha del país.

Lo recogen los obreros de la vega, ya determinado el tiempo de recogida para que mantenga la frescura y el aroma del tabaco cubano. Para que no pierda el gusto y que quien lo fuma, sienta que aun su elección, siempre va a ser este tabaco que a muchos nos gusta y es el que preferimos.

Y entonces llega un momento especial, seleccionan las hojas, las dividen en grupos desde las mejores hasta las menos buenas. Cada grupo es para una marca de tabaco diferente de acuerdo al rango del nombre.

Los tuercen en las tabaquerías, manos que pasan el día sentados torciendo hojas de tabaco. Se esmeran porque cada tabaco que sale de sus manos sea un ejemplar digno de los cubanos.

Estos tabacos, los que llegan a nosotros por medio de la canasta básica que corresponde a cada adulto de los hogares cubanos, son los tabacos para los verdaderos cubanos.

Y lo vemos así, no es despectivo, yo compro varios tabacos al mes, no fumo el tabaco en sí, pero sirve perfectamente para preparar cigarros con ellos cuando la crisis de la escasez del cilindro nicotínico nos golpea.

Este tabaco que, si no es tan bonito e inalcanzable como el Cohíba, es el nuestro, el de los cubanos de a pie. El tabaco que fumamos y compramos en la calle, en los puntos de venta de gastronomía o sencillamente se lo compramos al señor de la esquina, que en su casa nadie fuma y los venden para tener algo más de economía.

Este es nuestro tabaco y me gusta y le gusta a mi esposo. Ayer @maylink y @daddyvaldes nos trajeron estos tabacos de regalo que son el verdadero tesoro de Cuba.

Y créanme son un súper regalo.

Some time ago, I addressed the topic of Cuban cigars more than once, in one of which I specifically discussed the Cohíba.

But it turns out that Cohíbas are cigars for non-Cubans, and if by chance a Cuban smokes them, they don't live on the island.

Let me tell you, Cohíba cigars are planted, harvested, and rolled in Cuba, but they are mostly for export. When you see a Cuban (as we say) smoking a Cohíba or a Romeo y Julieta, it's because someone gave it to them.

However, I haven't come today to talk to you about these coveted cigars. I need them, and it's a personal need, which may echo many, like me. I've come to talk to you about cigars for true Cubans.

Tobacco for Cubans who live in Cuba. It's a tobacco that is also grown in the country, in different regions, in plots dedicated specifically to the cultivation of this highly coveted leaf, not only by Cubans, but throughout the world.

The plantation is planted by Cuban hands, who go to the furrow every day and care for it to produce the best plants, the best leaves, always ensuring that the tobacco grown in their region is the best harvest in the country.

The workers in the vega harvest it, the harvesting time having been determined to maintain the freshness and aroma of Cuban tobacco. This way, it maintains its flavor and allows those who smoke it to feel that, no matter their choice, it will always be this tobacco that many of us like and prefer.

And then comes a special moment: they select the leaves, dividing them into groups from the best to the least good. Each group is for a different tobacco brand according to the name.

They are rolled in cigar shops by hands that spend the day sitting rolling tobacco leaves. They strive to ensure that every cigar that leaves their hands is a true example of Cubans.

These cigars, the ones that come to us through the basic basket that corresponds to every adult in Cuban households, are the cigars for true Cubans.

And we see it this way, it's not derogatory. I buy several cigars a month. I don't smoke the tobacco itself, but it's perfect for making cigars with them when the nicotine cylinder shortage crisis hits us.

This cigar, which, if not as beautiful and unattainable as the Cohíba, is ours, the cigar of ordinary Cubans. The cigars we smoke and buy on the street, in food stores, or simply from the man on the corner, whose home no one smokes, and who sells them to make a little more money.

This is our cigar, and I like it, and so does my husband. Yesterday, @maylink and @daddyvaldes brought us these cigars as gifts; they are a true Cuban treasure.

And believe me, they are a super gift.
