¡Saludos amigos de #FamilyandFriends! Les voy a contar cómo viví el Día de las Madres, que acá en Venezuela, se celebra el segundo domingo del mes de mayo, de cada año.

Ese día tenía planificada una caminata, pero por razones externas a mí, no se dio. Así que desayuné como a las 5 a.m. y pasé el resto del día acostada en mi cama. Ni siquiera me asomé a la terraza. Logré comunicarme con mi mamá, hija y nieta por video llamada.

Ellas están en Argentina, debido a la “situación país venezolana” y allá el Día de las Madres será el 20 de octubre de este año.
Fue una conversación amena, donde los sentimientos estaban a flor de piel. Pero, no terminaron de aflorar. Recibí sus felicitaciones y mi nieta me enviaba besos; apenas tiene 2 añitos.

Luego, recordé cada almuerzo en familia que realizábamos para homenajear a las madres y allí si me quebré. Las lágrimas rodaban por mis mejillas, aunque luego pensé que solo Dios sabe el porqué de las cosas y, que, sin lugar a dudas, ellas están mejor allá.

Somos 5 hermanos y siempre nos reuníamos, ya adultos, con nuestras parejas e hijos, acá en mi casa y la protagonista era nuestra señora madre. Recibía regalos para su uso personal, bailábamos, jugábamos a las cartas, y siempre terminábamos contando anécdotas ¡Fue una época maravillosa!

Hoy la distancia nos separa, pero el sentimiento, el amor y el cariño nos unen cada día más.

Fue ayer, en horas de la tarde, cuando salí y aún quedaban vestigios de la celebración del domingo pasado y no perdí la oportunidad de hacerme unas fotos y de visitar un nuevo restaurante de comida china, que inauguraron hace poco, y pedí mi combo.

El lugar se ve muy lindo y la atención esmerada. Creo que apostaron si yo me comería todo el plato o no ¡Ja ja ja ja ja!

Como podrán ver en la foto, la cantidad de comida alcanzaba hasta para 3 comensales. Así que comí hasta donde pude y lo que quedó me lo envasaron y lo traje a mi casa. Les confieso que estaba antojada de comer ese arroz chino venezolano, único en el mundo.

La tarde estaba lluviosa, cierta melancolía en el ambiente, imagino que, prolongada desde el domingo, pues muchos hogares viven la situación que atraviesa mi familia.

Pido a Dios que bendiga a cada madre del mundo, en especial a las madres venezolanas y que pronto podamos estar junto a nuestros seres queridos y abrazarlos, sentir la piel y ese amor incondicional que no disminuye jamás.

It was a pleasant conversation, where feelings were on the surface. But, they did not end up coming to the surface. I received their congratulations and my granddaughter sent me kisses; she is only 2 years old.

Then, I remembered every family lunch we used to have to honor mothers and I broke down. Tears rolled down my cheeks, but then I thought that only God knows why things happen and, without a doubt, they are better off there.

We are 5 siblings and we would always get together, as adults, with our partners and children, here in my house and the protagonist was our mother. She received gifts for her personal use, we danced, played cards, and always ended up telling anecdotes. It was a wonderful time!

Today the distance separates us, but the feeling, love and affection unite us more and more every day.

It was yesterday, in the afternoon, when I went out and there were still vestiges of last Sunday's celebration and I did not miss the opportunity to take some pictures and visit a new Chinese food restaurant, which opened recently, and I ordered my combo.

The place looks very nice and the service is excellent. I think they bet if I would eat the whole plate or not. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

As you can see in the picture, the amount of food was enough for 3 people. So I ate as much as I could and what was left they packed and brought it home. I confess that I was craving for that Venezuelan Chinese rice, unique in the world.

The afternoon was rainy, a certain melancholy in the atmosphere, I imagine, prolonged since Sunday, because many homes live the situation that my family is going through.

I ask God to bless every mother in the world, especially Venezuelan mothers, and that soon we can be with our loved ones and hug them, feel their skin and that unconditional love that never diminishes.
