Walking along the streets and embankments of St. Petersburg last summer, my daughter and I went to the Griboyedov Canal just where the most beautiful church is located - the Savior on Blood. We were here last year, but that time most of the building was under restoration and was hidden from passers-by. Now the church continues to be restored, but most of the domes have already been opened.

ONLINE REFERENCE: The Church in the Name of the Resurrection of Christ in St. Petersburg, popularly called "Savior on Blood", is a memorial church erected in memory of the tragic death of Emperor Alexander II. The cathedral stands over the place of the Sovereign's fatal injury. Here on the embankment of the Catherine Canal (now the Griboyedov Canal), the emperor was mortally wounded by the revolutionaries of the People's Will on March 1, 1881, old style. The tragic event that shocked the whole country was the impetus for the creation of a Memorial Temple, a Temple of repentance of the people for the murder of their king.

There are many beautiful churches and temples in the world. There are a large number in Europe, Asia, a lot of them in India and even in America. All of them belong to different faiths and religious movements. But now I would like to focus specifically on the Savior on Blood.

As stated in the annotation (designed more for foreign tourists), the construction site of the temple was not chosen by chance. It was here that Tsar Alexander II died when a fanatic populist threw a bomb at him. Russian Russian temple. But in order not to repeat myself, I will tell you a little about why the temple was built in the Old Russian or Russian-Byzantine style.

The fact is that in the middle of the XIX century, a powerful patriotic upsurge began in Russia. This was caused by successes in foreign and domestic policy and the general strengthening of patriarchal power. In those years, the fashion for all classical Russian began, which was reflected in clothing (mainly at balls), theater, art and architecture.

The building of the Savior on Spilled Blood was built during that very period and the choice of architectural style completely coincides with the current fashion trend. It only seems that it is unique, because you can hardly notice buildings in a similar style around, but if you walk around St. Petersburg and look for buildings of the same period of construction, you can find a lot of those made in a similar style.

The starting point of the style can be considered the Pokrovsky Cathedral, which has been standing on Red Square in Moscow for several centuries. If you look at that temple and the Savior on Spilled Blood, comparing them side by side, you will easily notice the stylistic similarity of both buildings.

That day the weather was fine, there were a lot of tourists scurrying around, who came to the Summer Garden located nearby, but very few passers-by bought tickets to visit the Savior on Blood. My daughter and I also wanted to get there at first, but after considering how many people are already inside, we decided to take our time and do it next time.

That day we walked the streets of the city for a long time and I took a lot of photos. Tomorrow I am just planning my next informative publication on this topic. And that's it for today!

Гуляя по улицам и набережным Петербурга прошлым летом, мы с моей дочкой вышли к каналу Грибоедова как раз там, где находится красивейший храм - Спас на Крови. Мы были здесь и в прошлом году, но в тот раз большая часть здания находилась на реставрации и была скрыта от прохожих. Сейчас церковь продолжают реставрировать, но большая часть куполов уже открыта.

СПРАВКА ИЗ СЕТИ: Храм во имя Воскресения Христова в Санкт-Петербурге, получивший в народе название «Спас на Крови» — это мемориальный храм, возведенный в память о трагической кончине императора Александра II. Собор стоит над местом смертельного ранения Государя. Здесь на набережной Екатерининского канала (сейчас канала Грибоедова), император был смертельно ранен революционерами-народовольцами 1 марта 1881 года по старому стилю. Трагическое событие, потрясшее всю страну, стало толчком к созданию Храма-Памятника, Храма покаяния народа за убийство своего царя.

В мире есть множество красивейших церквей и храмов. Большой количество есть в Европе, Азии, очень много таковых в Индии и даже в Америке. Все они принадлежат различным конфессиям и религиозным течениям. Но сейчас я бы хотел остановиться именно на Спасе на Крови.

Как сказано в аннотации (рассчитанной больше на иностранных туристов), место строительства храма выбрано не случайно. Именно здесь погиб царь Александр II, когда фанатик-народоволец бросил в него бомбу. Но чтобы не повторяться, я немного расскажу о том, почему именно храм выстроен в старо-русском или русско-византийском стиле.

Дело в том, что в середине XIX века в России начался мощный патриотический подъём. Вызвано это было успехами во внешней и внутренней политике и общим укреплением патриархальной власти. В те годы началась мода на всё классичесое русское, что нашло отражение в одежде (в основном на балах), театре, искусстве и архитектуре.

Здание Спаса на Крови как раз выстроено в тот самый период и выбор архитектурного стила полностью совпадает с тогдашним течением моды. Это только кажется, что оно уникально, потому что вокруг вряд ли можно заметить здания в похожем стиле, но если проити по Петербургу и поискать здания того же периода постройки, можно найти очень много таковых, выполненных в похожей стилистике.

Точкой отсчёта стиля можно вполне считать Покровский собор, который вот уже несколько веков стоит на Красной площади в Москве. Если вы рассмотрите тот храм и Спас на Крови, сопоставив их рядом, вы без труда заметите стилистическое сходство обоих зданий.

В тот день стояла прекрасная погода, вокруг сновало очень много туристов, которые заходили в Летний сад, расположенный рядом, но очень иногие прохожие покупали былеты, чтобы посетит Спас на Крови. Мы с дочкой сначала тоже хотели попасть туда, но рассмотрев то, какое огромное количество народу уже находится внутри, решили не торопиться и сделать это в следующий раз.

В тот день мы ещё долго ходили по улицам города и я сделал множество фотоснимков. Завтра я как раз планирую свою очередную познавательную публикацию на эту тему. А на сегодня у меня всё!
