Hello everyone, today I'm going to tell you about an amazing museum in St. Petersburg, which is the exact opposite of the exhibition I talked about last time. Today we will not be talking about miniature models, but about real huge steam locomotives, locomotives and railway wagons of different time periods.

When my sister started talking enthusiastically about this place, I immediately wanted to get there. But during the first winter days of our vacation, we were busy with other trips, and we got here to the Railway Museum only on the fourth day of our stay.

As soon as we entered the huge building that used to house the locomotive depot, for some reason it seemed to me that this was a very gloomy and inhospitable place. There were few lighted places at the entrance. But when I noticed the huge glass in the cup holder, I breathed a sigh of relief - the creators of the museum had everything in order with humor and a sense of taste.

I want to say right away that there are two large buildings here, one of them is actually located in a former depot, and the other building was built specifically. The exposition is connected by a glass bridge, but we will go through it later. By the way, part of the exhibition is located in the courtyard of the buildings. But since it was freezing in those days, we did not dare to go outside and looked at the trains only through the windows of the museum.

Привет всем, сегодня я расскажу об одном удивительном музее Петербурга, который является полной противоположностью той выставки, о которой я рассказывал в прошлыйй раз. Сегодня речь пойдет не о миниатюрных макетах, а о настоящих огромных паровозах, локомотивах и железнодорожных вагонах разных временных эпох.

СПРАВКА ИЗ СЕТИ: Музей железных дорог в Санкт-Петербурге — один из крупнейших в России и Европе выставочных центров подобного типа. В музее представлены редкие старинные паровозы, дизельные локомотивы, а также техника XIX–XX веков. Здесь можно узнать все о раритетных моделях, прокатиться в настоящей кабине машиниста и увидеть состав изнутри.

Когда моя сестра стала восторженно рассказывать об этом месте, я сразу же захотел попасть туда. Но в первые зимние дни нашего отпуска мы были заняты другими поездками и сюда, в музей железных дорог мы попали только на четвертый день нашего пребывания в гостях.

Как только мы вошли внутрь огромного здания, в котором раньше было локомотивное депо, мне почему-то показалось, что это очень мрачное и неприветливое место. Здесь при входе было мало освещённых мест. Но когда я заметил огромный стакан в подстаканнике, я облегчённо вздохнул - у создателей музея было всё в порядке с юмором и чувством вкуса.

Сразу хочу сказать, что здесь есть два больших корпуса одно из них и вправду располагается в бывшем депо, а другое здание выстроено специально. Экспозицию соединяет стеклянный мос, н по нему мы пройдём позже. Кстати, часть выставки расположена во дворе зданий. Но так как в те дни стояли морозы, мы не рискнули выйти наружу и посомтрели на поезда лишь через окна музея.

Всего я подготовил несколько публикаций об этом музее. Дело в том, что площадь выставки такая большая, что мне хотелось показать её максимально подробно. Я сделал массу снимков и стану постепен выкладывать их в своих публикациях. На сегодня, пожалуй, всё. Завтра я продолжу свой рассказ об этом интересном музее.
