A trip to the Italian Bordighera (part 11). Поездка в Итальянскую Бордигеру (часть 11)

Hello everybody! I am continuing my series of publications about the Italian city of Bordighera, where we went on vacation back in 2013. So, a few words about the vegetation that we found there. Olive trees are everywhere here. They are found here the way ordinary poplars and lime trees grow in our city. If you get closer to the tree, you can see the olive berries, although I somehow had no desire to pick them, especially since it's not decent, even if the law enforcement officer doesn't see you to issue a fine.

You can talk a lot about palm trees and all kinds of cacti. There are many species of them in Bordighera. The palm trees here are similar to those found on the southern coast of Crimea, but the fruits of some cactus species are even grown here for food. As we walked from the house to the beach, Franco showed us some wild rosemary bushes. At our own risk, we still picked a few sprigs and then added rosemary to the paste. It was very fragrant and delicious!

There are a lot of flowering oleander bushes in Bordighera. And although it was September, the flowering of this plant was unusually lush. In my photographs, you can see these bushes everywhere, not only on the streets of the city, but also on the territories of private estates. Just like olives, it is not customary in Italy to pluck or pick fruits from trees growing along sidewalks. We have repeatedly seen oranges growing and a lot of fruits lying under our feet. Janitors usually clean the streets in the evenings, but by evening there are plenty of fallen fruits on the grass lawns again.

I really liked the coniferous plants of these places. Southern cedars, firs and pines grow here. When you walk along the embankment, you can feel the pure coniferous smell, which mixes with the aroma of iodine from the sea water. These southern smells reminded me of long-ago trips from childhood, when my parents and I went to the Crimea. Later, I'll tell you about the regular coastal fair that takes place in these places, but that's it for today!

Привет всем! Я продолжаю цикл публикаций об Итальянском городе Бордигера, куда мы ездили на отдых в далёком 2013-м году. Итак, несколько слов о растительности, которую мы там встретили. Оливковые деревья здесь повсюду. Они здесь водятся так, как в нашем городе растут обычные тополя и липы. Если подойти ближе к дереву, можно заметить оливковые ягоды, правда у меня как-то не возникало желания срывать их, тем боле что это не прилично, даже если тебя при этом не увидит страж порядка, чтобы выписать штраф.

Про пальмы и всевозможные кактусы можно говорить много. Их в Бордигере произрастает множество видов. Пальмы здесь похожи на те, которые можно встретить на южном берегу Крыма, а вот плоды некоторых видов кактусов здесь даже выращивают для еды. Пока мы ходили от дома к пляжу, Франко показал нам несколько диких кустов розмарина. Мы на свой страх и риск всё же сорвали несколько веточек и потом добавляли розмарин в пасту. Было очень ароматно и вкусно!

В Бордигере очень много цветущих кустов олеандра. И хотя был сентябрь, цветение этого растения было необычайно пышным. У меня на фотографиях можно увидеть эти кусты повсюду, не только на улицах города, но и на территориях частных владений. Точно так же, как и оливки, в Италии не принято срывать или подбирать плоды с деревьев, растущих вдоль тротуаров. Мы неоднократно видели растущие апельсины и множество валявшихся под ногами плодов. Обычно дворники убирают улицы по урам, но к вечеру упавших фруктов опять полно на траве газонов.

Мне очень понравились хвойные растения этих мест. Здесь растут южные кедры, пихты и сосны. Когда гуляешь вдоль набережной, чувствуется чистый хвойный запах, который смешивается с ароматом йода от морской воды. Эти южные запахи напоминали мне давние поездки из детства, когда мы с родителями ездили в Крым. Чуть позже я расскажу о регулярной прибрежной ярмарке, которая проходит в этих местах, а на сегодня у меня всё!
